Introducing Myself *Zynthos*

"Hmm..." Jade tapped her chin thoughtfully. " I think Chinese would be the best right now.." She grinned and reached over her free hand and grabbed his hand in hers. She walked next to him and they slowly made their way to the food court. "What is your favorite dish of Chinese food hm?" She asked, trying to make a conversation so there wouldnt be complete silence between the two of them.

Chinese sounds good to me, personally I like sweet 'n' sour chicken, beef 'n' broccoli, fried rice, and eggrolls. How about you? What do you like?" Zynthos said with a smile as he took Jades hand into his.

"Wow..you just listed off every one of my favorites... Lets go get that! Now I really want chinese!" She said laughing good-naturedly. It was so weird that they liked the same things. She shook her head. "Yeah.." She felt his hand in hers and she linked her fingers with his, intertwining them. She grinned and could smell the tell tale signs of Chinese food, looking up ahead, there was a Mei Wei's whose food Jade had quickly come to love. "Lets go there! They have the best food.." She said, her pace quickening.

"Wow did I really? Well then lets go." Zynthos said laughing at the face that they both love the same thing when it comes to Chinese food. "I wonder what else we have in common?" Zynthos thought to himself.

Jade liked to hear his laugh. She paused at the street that they were about to cross, of course looking both ways before crossing. She opened the door to the restaurant, and had to pause. She could smell the food cooking and she reveled in the sweet smell of duck sauce and frying beef and spicy shrimp. She grinned and walked in, her hand still linked with Zynthos'.

She walked up to the counter, letting her bag hit the floor, while still having a hold on it. "Umm we need a table for two, with the four course entree dinner please." She said, looking around at the place. The tables were a dark red marble, patterned with deep black. The chairs matched, and the rest of the decor centered around those two colors, adding gold here and there. There was a poster of the Chinese calender and Zodiac. She chuckled. "Year of the Mouse.." She said happily gazing upon the different symbols as they waited to be seated. There were Chinese lanterns with geisha's lighting the place, and she could hear the man in the back shouting the ready orders to the guy up front.

They were led to a table, close to the back in the corner. It was a booth, and the man asked what they would want. "Umm I want an order of fried rice, egg roll, sweet and sour shrimp, and beef and broccoli.. and...a coca cola no ice." She said, not even having to look at the menu provided. " I think he will have same right?" She asked, looking over at Zynthos. The waiter turned to him. "Do you want the same? What to drink?"

"Year of the Rat. Gotta love the Chinese Zodiac, right? Zynthos said in an amusing tone. "I will have the same, but would like ice." Zynthos told the waiter. The waiter said, "Okay, your order will be ready momentarily. Zynthos gazed into the beauty of Jade's eyes.

Jade laughed. " I dont like ice in my drinks..it waters them down, and the coldness seems to hurt my teeth.." She said smiling when she noticed that he was staring at her. She blushed and ducked her head, twiddling her thumbs. The waiter came with the drinks and Jade postponed him leaving for a minute to ask, " Can I have chopsticks? And we get fortune cookies right? I love those things.." She turned to Zynthos. "You use chopsticks or a fork?"

All Zynthos could do was smile at her. In his mind herre he was out to dinner with a beautiful elf and things couldnt be more perfect. "I use chopsticks." Zynthos said keeping a smile on his face.

Jade chuckled. "Okay, bring us both chopsticks then.." She told the waiter who nodded his head and walked away. Jade noticed that not once did Zynthos look at the waiter, not even to say thank you for the drinks. She smiled back at him and opened up the paper covering on her straw by hitting it on the table and slipping the torn paper off of the straw. She dipped the straw into her soda and sipped at it. " You know, I never had this back home?" They only drank water. Believed that anything with cholesterol and carbonation was bad for you and was a sin if you ate or drank it."

Zynthos mashed his straw on the table to free it from its paper wrapper and said with a smile, "Well then I suppose tonight you are a sinner."

Jade laughed at this, and lifted up her glass. "To sinners." She said, somewhat loudly. "Cheers." She took a sup of her drink and set it down on the table with a small thud. She grinned when the food came and the waiter gave her a wierd look because he had seen the whole thing. She picked up the chopsticks, sliding them out of the little Oriental package and took them up between her thumb and pointer finger, resting them like you should, and immediately dug into the fried rice. She swallowed the first bite. "Oh my..that is soo good.. I love fried rice..more than anything.."

Zynthos laughed and honoured her toast, To Sinners." he said. When the food arrived Zynthos dug in, however, it was shortly after he started to eat that he realized Jade was staring at him. Zynthos thought to himself, "Damn she probably saw them, she probably saw my fangs, and that is why she is staring." In an attempt to keep his mind clear he asked Jade, "Is your food ok?"

"My food is great.." She said, peering wonderingly at his fangs. She wondered what it would feel like to carress them with her tongue, to feel them press against her flesh.. She shook her head. WHOA.. weird train of thought... She took up some of the beef and seperated it from the brocolli. " I dont like the brocolli so much..that isnt a flavor the brocolli is supposed to have.. That meaty flavor..kinda weird.."

They Finished their meals and the waiter came out with the check, "Your total is $25.50." said the waiter. Zynthos handed the waiter $30.00 and told him to keep the change. He then helped Jade grab her bags and they headed outside. "Man, that was a great meal, how did you like it.?" Zynthos asked Jade when they got outside.

Jade patted her stomach. "That was great..I think I ate too much..But its a good kinda hurt." She said laughing. "You didnt have to pay for it you know.. " She said somewhat sulkingly. She smiled anyway. I think we need to go somewhere to digest alll this food..." She tapped her chin. "Movies?" She asked, quirking her eyebrow at him.
