Introducing Myself *Zynthos*

[zynthos]

"Well then it's a good thing they are not here." Zynthos continued, "My mom died when I was 3 in a car accident, my father never remarried so he raised me by himself."

"Oh.." Jade said softly, stretching out her long legs in front of her. She leaned her head back, letting her hair fall behind her to look up at Zynthos. " Well Zynny.. Your dad did a pretty good job." She said with a grin, lifting up a hand to cover her eyes, where the sunlight was interrupting her view. She patted the seat with her other hand. "Sit." She said happily. She looked over the park, her eyes picking up every color and nuisance of the flowers grass and large randomly placed trees in the park area, but that was mostly nearer the school yard. Her hand reached up and touched the petals of the rose in her hair softly and she smiled. "Yes, it is a good thing my parents arent here.. If they were, I wouldnt be." She shook her head. " I love my parents.. Just not their ways." A warm breeze caught her hair and made her eyes close to focus on the simple pleasure of the warmth. She peeked over to Zynthos. " What was your dad like?"

Zynthos calmly walk to the bench and sat down to the right of Jade and replied "Yes, I think he did a good job as well, he wasnt too strict and when I turned 17 and told him I was leaving, he said "well i have raised you the best I can, good luck in your travels." Zynthos stretched his arms and rested a hand on Jade's left shoulder breathed in deep and said, "It's very nice today'"

Jade chuckled. The old yawn trick. You stretched and laid your arm around the girl's shoulders. She accepted it and glanced merrily at the park. "It is.. I wish my parents had let me go that easily. I tried leaving when I was eighteen, but they kept me from leaving until I was twenty two." She shook her head. "My mother did not want me to leave at all, and she tried to scare me out of wanting to go. She told me tales of how this world did not understand our kind.." She reached back and tucked loose strands of hair behind her pointed ear and turned her head slightly to Zynthos. "See.. elf." She said half heartedly. "The woman in the elf clans are supposed to be short statured, fair in nature and skin. I am tall, and even though my mother was not fair in skin or hair color or had the natural colored eyes, she was fair in nature and short statured, and was the example elf of the clan. Me.. Ha!" She laughed, but it was a cynical sound. " I got my height from my father, and an attitude of no one in the whole clan. The black sheep I guess you could say.."

[zynthos]

Zynthos looked at the beautiful elf that sat next to him and said, "Wow sounds like a very rough life to lead. Honestly the "world" doesnt understand different. I mean I left knowing the world wouldnt understand that I am part vampire. And in the end you and me are not so different because we are here, in a place that does understand people like you and me."

[Tiff'blz]

She chuckled. "Yes.. That is why I came here. My mom told me of the story of the war in Cassis, trying to scare me into not wanting to come here. But from the very first time I heard it, I knew I wanted to come here. So many people, so different, but so alike. They stood together in their times of trouble instead of splitting apart, and defended themselves against many people that would have them killed, and they triumphed. Who wouldnt want that?" She asked, her arms moving through the air to show physically the wonder of it all that she wanted to express. They came down to her lap. " I just wanted to be accepted. Not criticized or hated for what I was, not only physically but mentally."

[zynthos]

"I undertand exactly what you mean, during my travels, I heard rumors about this place and its inhabitants. It was from then that I decided to check it out." said Zynthos

Jade nodded. "I didnt give my family a choice anymore. I left. My mother was heartbroken, but she knew she couldnt stop me.. I left before my dad came home so they couldnt double team me, like they always had. They would guilt trip me into not wanting to leave, until I couldnt take it anymore." She sighed and leaned forward. Her purple eyes scanned the grass and she suddenly wanted to lay down on all that lush softness. She resisted the urge and looked back at Zynthos. She really had nothing else to say, so she just sat there, looking at him, asking with her eyes if he truly understood, or just wished he could.

Zynthos allowed his dark brown eyes to scan the scenery and then looked deep into Jade's eyes and said, "I truely understand." as he gave her a small kiss on the forhead.

Jade heard the tone in his voice, and small smile pulled at her lips. It was a sad smile. Yes, it seemed he truly did, though there was no victory in that. When his lips touched her forehead, she paused. She looked up, wondering what convinced him to do that, but not at all wondering why she seemed pleased by it. She leaned back, going back into the crook of his arm. She didnt know why she felt so comfortable around someone she didnt even really know, but who was she to question it?

"Funny... Were we supposed to meet or something? Both of us come from rather far away, and not only find ourselves in the same town, but in the same store at the same time.."

[zynthos]

Zynthos just smiled and said "I dont know if us meeting each other was fate or destiny but either way I am glad we met."

[Tiff'blz]

"Me too.." Later on she would think about the quickness in which she became so close to him, but for now she would enjoy the simple pleasure. She leaned over and quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Zynthos smiled and said, "Hm I dont know about you but Im getting hungary, would you like to go to dinner with me?"

"I think that would be a lovely idea." She picked up her bags. " I guess since we had to decide between the two, we can cover both bases and go both places." She said, now feeling a rumble in her stomach as well. She grinned and rounded the bench toward the food courts. " So, what will we have?"

[zynthos]

"I dont know, what are you in the mood for?" Zynthos inquired. "They have all types of food here, Chinese, Italian, Burgers, Subs, you name it, they probably got it."
