Introducing Myself *Zynthos*

Jade pursed her lips in thought as she picked a pair of black bondage pants off of the rack and placed them against her waist. The style peaked her interest, and the purple piping matched her eyes so closely it was uncanny. She had walked into Hot Topic, hoping for a larger store, but more pleased with the selection than anything. The walls were lined in black clothes, shirts, pants, shoes, skirts, shorts, purses, jewelry, everything, even cd's! The music in Hot Topic was of course a heavy metal, the music causing a strobe light to pulse in sync over in the corner.

A girl with a black mohawk with purple edges, walked up to Jade, asking if she needed any help. Jade smiled, looking up at the girl, who had a small stud nose piercing much as Jade herself, and almost the same style clothing. Jade shook her head. "Nah, I got this." She said simply, swinging the pants over her arm and moving on. She looked almost as if she worked there, and she was asked for help from one of the other customers. She laughed whole heartedly at this. Here her mom was worried that Jade wouldnt be accepted, and look, they think she works here! She shook her head, "I think you would want one of the employees to help you with this." She said good naturedly and with a blush and a short "Sorry" the person actually left the store in embarrassment. She would have to ask for an application, it would be fun to work here!

She peered over the other clothes, and moved over to the jewelry eventually, now her arms practically loaded down with clothes. She muttered to herself as she studied them. Her arm became heavy and while being distracted, her arm gave under the weight and the clothes fell to the floor.

Zynthos Azere was browsing for cloaks when he heard the sound of alot of clothes falling on the floor.He peered around the corner and saw a beautiful young woman picking up all the clothes she dropped. He walked over to her and started helping her pick up the clothes.

The sound of the clothes hitting the floor startled Jade, as she had been so concentrated on what she was doing. She bent down, gathering them up slowly. Her arm was more tired than she had expected and she was lead to wonder how long she had been standing there staring at that large selection of jewelry. She let her eyes wander to the people that were standing near her. Not one of those people came to her when she dropped them, but merely stood back and watched her pick up her things. A hand came into view, picking up a few more of the pants she planned to buy. She looked up, shoving the hair out of her face. She gave him a wide smile.

"Thanks.. Good to know someone here has manners." She stood up, now reloaded with her selections, but now she sat them down on the counter. She turned back to the man that had helped her, giving him a look over that she hadnt been able to before. He had dark hair and light brown eyes, and a gentle expression. She smiled again. " Hi, I'm Jade.. Who might my clothes savior be, hmm?" She asked, holding out a hand to shake.

Nice to meet you Jade, the stranger said with a smile and took Jade's hand to shake it, my name is Zynthos.

"Zynthos.." She thought about that for a minute. "What a unique name.." She repressed the thought of Mentos.. She shook her head to remove the thought. " Well Zynthos, thank you for helping me pick up my things. I seem to be extremely forgetful and I have a one track mind. I was thinking about the jewelry and forgot about the clothes." She realized she still had a hold of his hand and let go, moving her hand to her neck to rub out some of the tension. She smiled nervously at her actions, and put her hand back down. "Um...excuse me.."

She turned to the girl that had previously asked if she needed anything and told her that was all she needed. She fished out a wallet out of a side pocket in her jeans and paid the woman, asking for one of the Hot Topic discount cards, and in the process clearing all of the stamps on the tombstones decorating the back at once. The girl looked at Jade. "You want to go ahead and use the fifteen percent off?" Jade shook her head and grabbed the card back along with her change and grabbed the black bag with the bright red lurid letters spelling out the name of the store. She turned back to Zynthos. "So.. What did you come in here to buy?" She asked, feeling a lighter weight of the bag now that the hangers were gone and she could get a better grip on the clothes.

Your welcome, it was no problem at all. I came in to buy this. Zynthos held up a black hooded cloak that when put on, the only part of his face that was visible was from the mouth and down. Zynthos gave the cloak to the cashier so she can ring it up. The cashier looked at Zynthos and said, "Your total is $39.75." Zynthos handed the cashier $40. When he received his change, he turned to Jade and asked, "So what are you up to today?"

Jade watched him put the coat on, and was strangely pleased by the mysteriousness of it. Maybe she could get one....later. She shook her head." I was just wandering around and I came in here and I have never seen a more beautiful store!" She said, a hint of truthfulness evident in her voice. She was sincere in her love of the place, as it encompassed everything she loved. She ran a hand through her hair, shaking it back into place, and used the opportunity to give the man she was talking to one more look. She couldnt help herself, nor would she if she could.

She stepped out of the store, suddenly annoyed by the background noise. She laughed softly. " I dont have any plans, so.. you want to walk, maybe talk?" She said simply, showing that she would like to spend some more time with him. "Maybe you could show me what brings you to the town of gifteds hmm?" She lifted up a hand, her right one to be exact, that had a thin silver chain wrapped around her palm and forearm, and gathered energy, creating a soft glowling light that raised the chain up from her skin and sent it rotating, skimming across her arm as if it were a metal snake with a mind of its own. She smiled. "What do you do?"

Zynthos couldn't help it, he was entranced by Jade's beauty. He finally shook his head to bring him back to reality and said, "Yes I would like to walk and talk with you very much, as far as what i can do? Here you go." With the lift of his hand and using his mind, he pulled a rose from a nearby garden and placed it into her hair and said, "That's not all I can do."

Jade watched the rose come through the air and place itself comfortably behind her ear. She smiled widely, grinning at Zynthos and catching the sweet smell from the rose. "That's not all you can do?" She asked, completely in awe of his telekinesis. She began to swing her bag back and forth as she headed toward an exit, eager to be able to smell the fresh air once more. "What else do you do then?" She asked, now even more excited to be talking to him. He was sweet and he had cool powers. What a day.

"Well I can also do this," Zynthos said. As he held out his right hand a blue ball of energy started to form in it. As the energy ball was forming a demonic flaming aura engulfed his entire body. Once he dispelled the energy ball the flames disapated. "So what do you think?" Zynthos asked.

Jade's jaw almost dropped. "Whoa..that is cool." She said solemnly, still somewhat in awe. The blue flames were captivating. "How did you find out that you could do that?" She asked as she pushed open the door to the exit, walking backwards and using her back to hit the release button on the door, so she could keep talking to Zynthos, silently thanking God that she didnt trip over anything on her way out. She held the door open for him since she got there first.

When the breeze hit her face, her eyes closed and it sent the smell of the rose washing over her and she sighed contentedly. This was turning out to be a great day. She fiddled with the handle on the bag, looking over the land to see which way she wanted to walk. There were food shops to the left, and a park with a school yard full of lush green grass and littered with bright yellow flowers. She didnt know which way she wanted to go. "So..which way?" She asked, forcing the decision to her new found companion.

"I was 13 and a half when i did it for the first time," Zynthos explained. "You see, on my 13th birthday my father told me I was a Vampiric Mage through a bloodline that affects the oldest son on my fathers side of the family." Zynthos held the door and let it close behind him and looked left, then looked right, then looked left again. "To the park?" Zynthos suggested.

Jade smiled when he made the decision. "To the park." She said with a smile, motioning with the bag that had the clothes in it. " I cant wait to put these down. Sometimes I wonder about my shopping habits.. As you can tell I am an extremely indecisive person.. until it comes to shopping. Then I know if I want it and if I want it..I buy it.. Even if I shouldnt.." She laughed and felt a slight blush touch her cheeks, and she looked at the park instead. She walked slowly, never one to rush things. She took in the sight of the beautiful place and a smile tugged at the edges of her lips. "What a beautiful place.. My parents never wanted me to leave that dank and dark forest they lived in. They were prehistoric! They didnt believe in electricity or anything like that..they 'lived off the land'.

She shook her head. " I always knew, my parents beat my heritage into my head until I thought I would burst. They didnt trust humans, let alone gifteds. They were ignorant, and I refused to be pulled into that ignorance, so I left.."

"Ok to the park we go," Zynthos said with a slight laugh. Zynthos caught Jade blushing and smiled as he moved the little bit of hair out of her face and behind her ear. "So your parents lived off the land huh? That must have been hard." said Zynthos as he continued, "Well its good you made the decision not to be pulled in by their ignorance. I can only imagine what they would say about their daughter talking to a Vampiric Mage."

Jade felt the blush growing to fully cover her cheeks as he moved her hair out of her face. She cleared her throat as they reached the park. She found a low picnic table and sat her bag down on it, bending her arm to relieve the muscles that had grown tired during the walk. She really wanted to try on those clothes and thought about a movie montage. The thought made her chuckle. " I think if my parents were here right now, they would either scream and pull me away from you, or faint." She shrugged.

She sat down heavily on the seat provided and leaned back against the table, stretching her legs out in front of her. "So.. what were your parents like?"
