A door bell jingles as a man walks into the Inn. The place seemed quite the place to stay, but it was mostly packed with older men. Why would D. care? He scoffed as he walked up to the counter. The whole place had a soft quiet pleasantness about it and that was something that he could appreciate. He leaned up against the counter and laid his hand down gently on the service bell. No one came around the corner immediately, so he decided to get a good look at the inn while he waited.
It was dark and had a homey look, the floors and most of the chairs made up of a dark mahogany wood made the entire room look like it was made in a less modern age. It gave the whole place a nice touch. The chairs themselves looked extremely comfortable, and D. longed to sit down. He looked up to the staircase, that he was guessing held the rooms, one of which he would be staying in for the night. A chain on his jacket clanked against the counter and he looked down to make sure he hadnt chipped the finish. He shrugged when he saw nothing and glanced once more at the staircase. There was a long slightly colored rug with an ornate design descending the staircase, softening the sharp edges and keeping them from being too slippery.
He turned back to the counter, his dark pants and shirt complementing the colors of the desk, the same mahogany color as the wood and almost matching his hair. He smiled and waited patiently. If anything, that was one thing he was good at doing...waiting..

A young woman came from a room whose door was found behind the main desk. Her small fingers, tipped with those purple nails, pushed the door open as she ran a hand through her brown locks. Blue eyes shifted slowly from the floor as she shook her head to clear it of sleepiness, having dowsed off in the backroom. " Sorry it took so long, kind of fell asleep back there. What can I do for you?" She asked, eyes still on the floor as she walked towards the counter and pulled a large book out, placing it on the desk.
" Lorna Russu's the name, owner and manager of the Russu Inn." She introduced herself, eyes now falling on the amaxing man before her. They lingered for a second, before she moved them back to the book and placed a pen in it's centerfold. At least she got some good looking guys at her inn now and then. That was a bit of a shock. Usually it was scruffy old men who came in. Tired travelers who hadn't seen a woman in god knows how long who would instantly start hitting on her.
I pray to god, or anyone, that this guy is as polite as he is handsome. Damn! Her mind screamed, however her appearence was perfectly calm as she tried to remind her self she was at work and not here to play...yet. " Are you looking for a place to stay or here for something eat?" She asked, her job obviously to know what she had to prepair and what not.
" Miss Russu!" Called a little boy of about 10 hopping down the steps, He beamed with pride as he carried a vase full of flowers and placed it on the front desk. " They're good right? I did good, right?" The boy urged hoping to get praise. Lorna laughed a nodded her head, complimenting the young boy and asking him to kindly bring the vase to room 12 as their flowers had recently became droopy. The little boy nodded and scurried off.
" Sorry about that." She appologized to D, eyes moving back to his. " He may be young but he's got a keen eye for beautiful flowers." She shrugged and smiled pleasently, waiting for D to answer her previous questions and tell her his name soshe may remember it for...future refrence as she would put it.

D. watched the kid with interest, but couldnt help but look back at the owner of the inn. "Wow.. Such a young lady, the owner and operator? Impressive. The name is D. Heise. " He said, watching her slender fingers poised over the page. "All bright men have a keen eye for beauty." He said casually, shrugging his jacket off. Underneath showed a deep red shirt that matched his hair and showed off the red tint in his eyes. He smiled and slung it over his shoulder. "Im guessing that is why he is trying so hard to impress you with is.. eye for beautiful things maybe? And I will be staying for about three nights..for now. I am just visiting the town to see if I want to stay." Acting as if it was an everyday thing to tell a woman she was beautiful as he was logged in to stay at her hotel. He looked around. "Quite a place you got here." He said turning back to her with a smile. He ran a hand through his hair and let it fall back into place easily. "So..Lorna Russu.. " He said it softly, letting the name roll off of his tongue. " How did you come by owning an inn?"

" Young men aren't the only one with a keen eye for beauty." She said cassually after placing the book on the shelf under the countertop. She watched his movements with interest and oulled herself onto the stool. As he asked the question concerning her inn. And when he complimented it she smiled a wamr "Thank you." Before she even thought of explaining the old man, her family who now hated her and all that.
" Well, long story short, I was disowned by my family and slipped into a...hmm...bad osition of delinquent. An old man named Andrew Russu found me half beaten and took me in. Tamed the wild side of me, somewhat." She looked away as she said somewhat and stiffled a lugh at the times she had slipped up and played strip poker or gambled men out of everything they owned.
" Anyways, he didn't have family and when he passed away during the war, left everything he had to me. So, I made this inn in his memory. I could have been more throrough, but you probably have better things to do." She said nodding her head as she waved at an old couple that were regulars for the meals. They asked how she was doing and Lorna replied with a 'Pretty good' and waved them away as they went to enjoy a meal.
" The people here are good to each other, they accept you no matter what you have done in the past or what kind of family you came from. Unless you fought for the government during the war willingly. It's worth a look around." She advised him, nodding her head as one hand itched at her earlobe. " I hope you decide to stay, D Heise." She mocked his way of saying the name, allowing it to roll of her own tongue. " This town needs more interesting people. Fair warning though, the underaged teens here seem to flock around good looking men. Be careful, kay? Wouldn't want them mauling you, now would we?" She laughed softly and greeted a young man comming down the stairs.
Clearly he had been staying there for sometime as he handed her a wad of money and thanked her perfusely for allowing him to stay at such a low rate. She explained that she understood not everyone had enough money to pay the usual 150 a night. That it was her pleasure and that she hoped his new home was a warm one. They bid farewell and she returned her attention to D. " Sorry again, It's my nature." She said with another warm smile.

He nodded his head smiling. "He was a good man then. I personally couldnt say anything good about my parents. I guess I like to say that I have learned from their many...many...many mistakes. " He said shaking his head. "I dont know where my dad is, my mom is dead, and neither one of them wanted anything to do with me when I lived there anyway. I was somewhat of a hired servant that they didnt pay." He said shrugging. "But I make myself a better man because of it. You got lucky. " He tapped his fingers on the counter. He took in the color of her nails as her hand deftly scripted his name and how long he would be staying. "I dont know how long I will stay truthfully. But the scenery might change my mind.." He watched her bowed head as she wrote everything down, wondering what kind of past she was talking about. She did seem like she would have a wilder side, but nothing too terrible. He knew for a fact that he looked like he should be a thug, but his heart wouldnt let him..
He watched the man pay for his stay. "Now a nature like that is nothing to apologize for." He said slowly. "Good looking men get trampled? How about that, eh? Now.. would you just so happen to be one of those people? One of those, cluster around the hot guy kind of girls? Some guys dont mind being mauled you know." He said with a chuckle." And on that note, it makes me wonder how much of your...wild side is left over eh?" He said laughing. "Sorry.. its my nature." He said with a grin. "So which room am I staying in exactly?" He said, holding his hand out for the key.

He's tempting me, I swear it! But, I'll continue my kind ways and behave myself. Her mind was made up as she looked to a wall to see what keys remained. Pulling of 8's key she turned in her stool and gently placed it in his hand, eyes fallowing it. " Room 8 is open. I would like to warn you a newlywed couple is staying in room 9 and she doesn't know the meaning of 'quiet'." Lorna said rather look of disgust on her face remembering last nights...noise. " I'd put you in room 13, however someone reserved it. And 6 isn't cleaned. So 8 is the only option. 1-5 are currently being refurnishedd." Her business side shone through.
" As for my being one of those underaged teens, no. I'm certainly not underaged. Though mauling could be arranged." She smiled " And though he tried, Old Man Russu couldn't cure me entirely. I'm still a little on the untamed side." She smirked before turning and placing money in the cash register. Her blue eyes shifted back to him as she swiveled in her chair once more. " You should stay for a long time. It's nice here. Though it's not the most beautiful of places there are nice people. And interesting ones. If you need anything." She stressed anything before scribbling on a slip of paper that room 0(the room found through the back door behind that very counter) was her room and a number he could reach her at. " Let me know." She smiled and the left eye performed a very quick, almost unnoticable wink before she was greeted once more by a worker.

D. chuckled. He was helpless against this woman. " Ahh yes.. Well.. I think.. I just think I might be able to bear it. Do you just so happen to have a pair of earplugs?" He said jokingly. "Well, I have to say that I have made a girl..." He paused with a thoughtful look on his face. "I will stop there eh?" He laughed as he took the key, brushing her soft hand with his fingers as they closed around the key. "I will survive. And like I said, its all about the scenery. And being mauled..that might help in the decision making Im sure." He said nodding with a devilish grin.
He took the slip of paper, a single eyebrow raising at Lorna. "Yes, I believe in my weary state that I might just call upon you for a thing or two.. But I promise not to be a hassel...As long as you promise to show me a little bit of that untamed side of you." He said in a low tone so the guy next to him couldnt hear him. A confident, yet warm smile curved the left side of his full lips as he returned the wink just as discretely. Amazing.. He thought to himself happily as he picked up his bag and turned away from the counter, continuously turning his head back to watch her talk with the man behind the counter. He looked down at the sheet of paper and couldnt help but chuckle. "Lucky eh? " He muttered as he walked up the stairs to his room.

Lorna watched him walk up the stairs and laughed softly, running a tongue over her canine thoughtfully. Turning back to her employee she ordered him about what he could do while she went to the backroom for the time being. And disappearing, once more, behind that door walked through another into a bedroom like all the rest of the rooms in the inn. Rummaging, she pulled out an old apron and left all most instantly.
" Rush." She whispered to herself, hearing the usual feet clamor in through the front door to find themselves a seat in the tavern portion of the Russu Inn. She strolled across the building, tying the apron about her waist alone, greeting people as she went. The occasional name of a regular and the such would slip from her lips as she disappeared behind the bar and began to work at this part.
The young worker she had been talking to stood behind the front desk, waiting for anyone that needed a room. And if someone asked for the manager/owner they would be directed to Lorna who now slammed down a shot of tequilla with a few gentlemen who were refering to her by the old nickname of Poker. She laughed, walking to the other end of the bar to start taking more orders as a large man was heard in the back yelling back meal orders and saying whether they were ready or not.
Meanwhile a young woman, about 17 scurried about with a few others handing out meals to the table. To grope one of Lorna's employee's meant punishment, and she wasn't very easy going when she dished it out.

Lexi walked into the inn, her eye's scanning instantly for the check inn desk. She trotted over with just a small bag, the size of a large purse and instantly spoke out as soon as she reached the desk. "I need a room... any size bed... the cheapest you got!" She spoke out quickly. She messed around in her pockets to find some money. She'd been collecting all day, and worked for some of it in a few stores. Thats how her life went on now. Either staying at the inn on special occasions or spending most of her time at the shelter. She didn't have any family, not unless you count her parents and sister who abandoned her at a young age. Her brother was dead, so she was alone in the world, not knowing anything of family anymore since the war. She stared at the person at the desk and waited on her to answer her with her previous question.
Money jingled in her pocket as she pulled out a few bills, hiding it from the lady. "So... what do you have to offer me?" SHe asked. Her manners not really that proper.

D. opened up the door to his room, hurriedly unpacking his things. He threw them all in the closet provided, only taking time to hang up his jacket. That jacket was expensive, no way he was throwing it on the floor!
He stepped out of the room, wondering if there was a shower. "Oh well I'll check later. Im hungry and thirsty. " He said with a grin. Of course even if he was completely full and couldnt drink another drop he would still say he was starving and needed a drink. Just to get another look at Lorna of course. He trotted down the steps happily, whistling a tune. He shook his head, letting his dark red hair fly about carelessly. He could hear the earrings in his ears clanking together. He smiled and thought about the newly wed couple in the room next to him. "Well.. It could be worse." He muttered as he stepped down the last step to the first floor. He saw a blond girl asking for a room, and he leaned back against the wall away from sight to see what Lorna would do about the girl who seemed lacking in manners. He looked her over. Blond hair, slim build.. He would say about ... 25? She seemed harried which might be the reason for her present rudeness.

The young man behind the counter stubbled over his words before looking at the key rack. He held the pen a registration book out for her to sign her name and how long she was to stay and grabbedthe key to the room that had just barely got finished being cleaned, number 6. " IF you have any issues the Manager is Lorna Russu, she's the young woman behind the bar probably having shots of tequilla and serving the bar-goers." He said, trying to be calm as he waited for Lexi to sign her name and the such.
Lorna's eye was caught by the scene, and judging by her employee's appearence, figured something was going on. Excusing herself she dried her hands on the apron and strolled over to the front desk, eyes serious as hair fell in her face a bit. " Is there a problem, you don't look like yourself Jim." She said to the young man as she came around the desk and whispered for him to go and take care of the bar until she returned.
" I'm Lorna Russu, owner of the inn. You need a room? I need your name and how long you plan to stay." She said calmly, a hand slowly turning the large book to face her as her hand scooped up the pen. " I'd also like it if you didn't frighten my employee's." She said sternly, looking at Lexi with a displeased look on her face.

Lexi looked around impatienly as the guy at the desk fumbled around with the instruments needed to sign in. She starred at him, with a displeased look on her face as the manager was now in her presence. Lexi sighed heavily as she took the pen from her and spun the book around to her level and quickly signed her name on the line and beside her name put in the number... 1.
"Look, I didn't mean to.. scare... your employee's.. that's just the way I am.. Okay? I'm only staying one night cause that's all I can afford. So, if you don't mind... I would really love to spend a night here instead of that measly shelter all the time!" Lexi folded her arms in front of her body adn looked around at the people staring. Why were they staring. Was it something she said? She put a smile on her face, and took her folded hand out. "So, what do I owe you for the cheapest room you got here? and when do I get my key?"

Javon walk into the Russu Inn and closed the door behind him. The flourish left a tang of rain in the stuffy air. Outside, the clouds began to roil over the horizon, black and threatening. The air was lukewarm, though, so Javon was looking forward to the looming deluge. He smiled as a man looked up at him and patted the man on the back, before walking to the bar. He channelled light to his fingertips, and his palms shone. Placing one hand on the wooden bench he rummaged around his pockets for some coin, and eventually found a few hiding in his back pocket. He pulled one out, flicked it up and caught it in the air. Heads turned, but turned back to their conversations or mugs as they realised who it was.

D. watched Lorna casually, messing with two of the earrings that peirced his cartilage as they had a little..interaction. Lorna seemed cool and casual, treating the girl as any good manager would. Trying to defuse the situation by using professional methods. D. looked around, seeing that even more people had entered the Inn.. "Wow.. this place is just crammed full now isnt it?" He muttered, looking at Lorna appreciatively once more before finding a seat. He watched one person in particular walk in, showing off his powers the second he came in. D. would have too, but he wasnt keen on cutting anyone up to take their blood. Or inflicting wounds upon himself just to show off. He needed blood to create a pattern across his skin to summon his chains. He shrugged, seeing a man walk up to him asking if there was anything he wanted to drink. He thought about it and smiled. "I will take just a cold beer, no imported, and if you could, I would love a good burger.. " He said, tipping the man even before he got what he wanted. That was the best way to get the best service. Be nice. Karma was something that Devon believed in completely. Just look at his parents. The thought made him chuckle as his eyes drifted from the new guy to Lorna to the girl at the counter in a never ending circle of curiousity.
The man brought D. his food, and again he thanked him and gave him a larger tip than before. He popped the cap off of his beer easily and took a swig while keeping an eye on the crowd in front of him. He was brought up to be paranoid and he couldnt outrun that, even being out of his parent's house couldnt cure him of it.

" First, Don't take an attitude with me. IF you want to stay in my inn, you need to learn some respect. Got it? And the rooms aren't ranked cheapist. It's 150 generally for one night. However, in some cases I'm known to make it 75. But, like I said young lady. Learn some respect before you walk into someone's inn, mistreat their employee and then take up an attitude...with the owner[/u]." Lorna said, slamming the book closed and sliding it across the counter, her eyes showing she was not in the mood to deal with her.
" I'll let you stay but go appologize to the young man you were so very rude to. Then you can have your key and be on your way. When you appologize, come find me at the bar. Until then, I have drinks to serve." Snapping her fingers a young woman, looking more fierce than the prior space-filler came to the desk and sat on the stool. Lorna took hold of the only remaining key on the rack and stuffed it down her shirt before walking back to the bar.
Sitting herself beside D she causually replied to his previous statement. " This is the usual crowd. From noon to night is our more popular hours. If you want a drink, come find me." She said before standing and casually walking back behind the bar. She stopped befor Javan. " What can I get you?" She asked, pulling a shotglass from beneath the bar and filling it with tequilla for herself. Down the hatch it went, her fourth one that night.
