Lexi dropped her mouth at the prices the woman spat out to her. ATtitude? What attitude? It wasn't her fault that the way to live on the streets is attitude. Not taking lip from anyone and showing your strong enough to survive. Survival is everything.. and looks like I got to spend yet another night at the shelter. These prices are way too steep for my own good. I don't even have that much... SHe looked at the bills she pulled out. "A twenty, and four tens. That's not enough for the cheapest rooms here... or as that rude woman said... the rooms weren't ranked cheapest." Lexi huffed slightly and reached for the book once the woman was gone with the key that was going to be her room. "Lets see.. scratch my name off the book... no luxury night for me here... o'well... not like it isn't a usual thing for me." She said to herself outloud though, and moved away from the desk after scratching her name out putting the book back.
Lexi looked to where the woman went and walked over to her, hardly paying attention to the guy she was sitting beside. She didn't want to make a bigger scene then she just did. "Well, I'm sorry, Miss manager... didn't mean to cop an attitude with your employee or you, like I said... that's just the way I speak." She said and turned around taking a few steps. "Your prices are too steep for us people who live on the streets... Thanks anyways!" She managed out before taking a step toward the door, her hopes down.

Javon watched her as she downed the shot of tequila. He quirked an eyebrow but made nothing of it. "Ehhh. I might just have a... scotch. And don't waste your water." He grinned farcically and stretched out a finger. A droplet of water creeped out from one of his pores and floated a few centermetres in the air, growing bigger until it was at least the size of a golf ball.
Javon looked around the room and saw a man standing not far off. He was talking to a man who was clearly taking his order, before slipping a tip in the mans hand. The man walked away, surprised but content, and Javon gave a "Hmph" and turned back to the bench, water still floating just above his index finger.

D. smiled at Lorna as she sat down and began to talk to him. It looked funny with the burger in his mouth.
Lexi walked over to his table as well, startling him into swallowing his burger too quickly. He looked up at the woman curiously. "Well..If you need somewhere to stay..Or you need any money to get a room..I would be more than happy to help you out. But only if you would accept it. No it isnt out of pity, and no it isnt because I expect anything out of you, and yes I have been accused of that..Like I would need to purchase ..." He started to grumble that last part, but quickly took up his drink. "If you need a room, just let me know okay?"
He nodded and was about to take a swig of his beer when she said that if he needed a drink that she would be at the bar. He slung the burger onto the plate and looked crosseyed at the beer and tossed the beer over his shoulder, thankfully into a trash can. Sometimes in eagerness, Devon forgot his manners. He wiped his hands hurriedly on his jeans and wove his way over to the bar. He plopped down, " I would like a beer madam!" He said, slamming a hand down mockingly with a grin. He gave Javon a crooked grin as he waited for Lorna to wait on him. He watched her slam the tequila. " My kind of woman!" He exclaimed. "Normally I would ask if I could buy you a drink..but... " He watched her hustling around the bar. "I dont think it would work in a situation such as this." He said with a grin, trying to lighten her suddenly bad mood.

She smiled at the comment D had said and shook her head. " No one buys me a drink. It would be a first. I just drink what I want. And that's about it." Laughed the girl as she poured Javan his scotch and placed it ona coaster before him. " There ya go, Hun." She said turning to D, resting both hands on the table she tapped her fingers melodicly while she thought. A simple beer was all he asked for so she stuck one hand under the counter, pulled out a tall glas and held it beneath the spicket. Once it was full she placed it gingerly before him and smiled. " Enjoy."
Eyes rolled to look at Lexi who had thought Lorna had said she would still have to pay. " Did I say you had to pay? No, I said you merely had to appologize to that young man. You can stay for free as long as you agree to help out when I need help. Prehaps dishes once or twice a week or something." She hollered to the girl by the door. Her fingers reached between her breasts and pulled out the key to room six.
The jingling sound silenced many of the customers as a few shook their heads at Lexi, who seemed to think she was thonly one who was ever living on teh street. " I understand what street-life is like. I was disowned and turned into a juvenile delinquent, lived on the street and was found have beaten on the front steps of the old Russu Inn. I always try and help out people who are in the position I was once in. Just say sorry, bring your stuff to your room, and come down for something to eat. I doubt you have ever had a real steak until you've tried Reggies." Laughed Lorna, motioning to the man outback singing away and cooking.
The young manager handed the key to one of her fellow bartenders, who took it and walked towards Lexi holding it out. Then, off to work she went. She would hand people shots, beers and even a few milk or water. But only a few had ordered such beverages when Lorna was working. Returning to stand before D where she had left her shot glass. Casually she poured more of the strong alchol into the small glass and smirked.
" This is part of the side the old man couldn't get rid of." She laughed softly and downed the drink, then slowly ran her tongue over her lips and smiled. " He'd try and try but never could get me to stop drinking. At least I'm better than I was before. Used to get so smashed, I'd pass out surrounded by bottles of tequilla or voldka." She laughed with a few of the other people at the bar as they would throw in ' I remember those days' and the like.
They were all like her family. Some had kept her from getting in fights, others had been in those fights, some had to take the bottle away from her while others had to remind her how her life was different. Others had just watched her grow up and given her a few life lessons on matters. She walked by and gave an elder gentlemen in his late fourties a kiss on the cheek as he paid and left. She called farewell to the man and smiled, remembering the time he had to break of a riot Lorna had caused once.

LExi turned around gruffly to see the man who'd spoke out about getting her her own room. She didn't like to take things for free, but she worked for anything that she ever got. She's worked hard enough for the last week to come up with the cash to even think about getting a room there. Prices were steep in Dotado, and with being a 21 year old girl, with the jobs offered, it didn't pay enough to rent a house even outside of Dotado. She merely shook her head at him. "Well, I don't take things for free, sorry. I'm not trying to be rude by not taking your offer, but I do have a little bit of dignity..." She stated as she watched go back to his drink. She smiled at him. She couldn't beleive that he even offered to pay for a room that was more than she even had. She wouldn't force that upon anyone else to pay for something that was her own responsibility.
When Lorna started to talk again, she was expecting to be called a rude again, or maybe even worse, but stopped at what she had to say and offer. She took note of the people around staring at her, but she didnt' care. She was the one living on the streets not them. How would they know what it's like to have to find a place to stay every night? Folding her arms up in front of her body, a faint authentic smile could be seen on Lexi's face at the offer. "Your serious? I just have to apologise to that guy?" She asked and followed the guy who had her key to her new stay room. She nodded to lorna, and walked with the guy to put her small bag up in the room. For once, things are starting to look up.... to bad I have to wash dishes and all that junk. Helping out? Well, what would Wyatt do? He wouldn't want me living on the streets anymore. He would want me to have a better place in this world. Too bad, I have to live it alone...

As the glass of scotch was set in front of him he aptly dropped the ball of water into the glass. The ball was at least several feet above the bench, but there was no splash. Javon lifted the glass to his lips and let the scotch run to the rim. It seeped into his mouth and he shook a little as the iciness of the water cooled the lukewarm scotch.
Two sips and it was gone. Javon breathed slightly and set it back onto the bench. He was about to ask for one more when Lorna drank another shot. He thought better of it and filled it with water. If Lorna was drinking five shots of tequila in less than ten minutes, he figured he'd stay sober.
The water was colder than he intended, and for a second he thought he was going to choke. But with as little as a cough he managed to swallow the more icy water. A man on his right chuckled at Javon's mistake and was repayed with sodden trousers. The man jumped up, glared at Javon - who meerly stared at the man innocently - and ran from the inn, people laughing raucously as he squelched out.

D. smiled. "I love a girl that can hold her liquor!" He said, drinking the last swig of his beer before setting in on the bar with a thud. He listened to the people around him telling tales of her younger years, and he looked at her with a new respect. He watched her run her tongue over her lips and suppressed a sudden shiver of anticipation. "Heh.." He said, staring down at the empty bottle. He heard her give the offer to the blond girl, the one that had turned down his offer of paying for a room. He didnt blame her for turning down the charity, for some people were very strong willed and thought of it as a disgrace..If he had been in her position, which he had been once, then he would have no doubt turned down the offer as well. Devon smiled and shook his head. "Fit niceness to a T.." He muttered, hearing someone shout, he turned his head slightly, trying to look like he wasnt looking, and saw a man that looked like he had pissed himself. D. chuckled gleefully as the man with the wet pants ran out of the bar, squeaking all the way. " Very nice .. " He said, nodding his head. "Hey Lorna.. Mind sparing me one of those shots of tequila?"

" Yes my dear. Just say sorry and help out once in a while and you have a room to stay in." Lorna replied to Lexi with a warm smile. Though the two had started off on the wrong foot, Lorna had let it slide and didn't exactly care to much. All she wanted was for the shaken young man to be a little more confident in his work and continue doing his job. And to make sure there was no harm done.
" You want some Tequilla? Sure." And she poured herself and D botha shot of the liquid, sliding his shot glass to him. She shook her head as the man with wet pants ran off. " Well, it seems he can't hold his liqour." She smirked at Javan and shook her head. " Try to refrain from using your gifts on my costomers, kay? Even if he deserved it." She asked, slamming down her sixth shot of tequila.
" As for me holding my liqour, D...I hold it like a pro. Beat that guy at a game of quarters seven times in one night!" Laughed Lorna, thrusting her thumb over her shoulder at a hefty man with empty pints sprawled infront of him. " And I don't drink any of those pansy drinks like magarita's and martini's. Umbrella drinks aren't strong enough. Pour me a shot of tequila, whisky, voldka, rum...hell even sake. I'll drink it." Laughed Lorna as she leaned on the counter top, everyone currently satisfied that they had their alchol.
