"It's okay teddy. We'll make it out of here sooner or later... I just hope that there isn't any wild am-inals in here!" Trinity told the teddy bear that was in her arms. HOlding on tight, she hugged the creature, but to the naked eye, it would seem as though she simply had her arms around thin air. She laid her face down on the bear as she walked along the dimly lit forest. It was reaching nightfall, and she would spend yet another night out in the dark forest.
Within a week, she had traveled so far. From her foster home she left, without hardly resting but very few times, she was finally starting to come into the town that would accept her for who she really was. A gifted child. That is what she was, a child.
"Teddy... I think we need to find a place to stay for tonight... but... I don't want to sleep out in the open again." She told the bear as she stopped for a moment. Her brown locks needed brushing and her dress was a little tatty. She wore the same dress she ran away in, but a few holes accented the attire. Sitting down, she leaned against the tree. "Teddy... I want to go back home.. back to home with mommy and daddy... I don't want to be out here anymore... and I'm hungry!" The child's voice got real low letting her eye's scan the area. Nothing was around. As she closed her eye's, she began to think about a tiny shelter to cover herself in and as she opened her eye's, she saw that what she pictured in her mind, it was now visible to her. Solid in some sense, but naked to the eye, it would protect her.
"There we go, Teddy. I made us a house... but..." The child looked around. ".. it's not home..." Tears started to fall from her eye's as she laid down on the teddy bears stomach.

A young man strolled with such a casual and laid-back look upon his face. His hands were deeply hidden in his rather tight fitting, dark blue and old looking jeans. His loose, black turtle-neck had a a bright orange pattern across the front and down the sleeves. Derek had been out walking to enjoy the day. He stopped, seeing a small child sleeping on thin air. Noiw this, this truly confused Derek. First off he was wondering why she was there. Secondly he was wondering how she kept herself in such a position.
" Uhm..." He began. However, his voice trailed off as he saw a woman with green hair and skin slowly walk out from behind a tree. Neasa had been watching the small child for sometime, since she had first stepped into the forest, the kayen was worried that the snake-man in the forest might try and eat the poor child. So, of course, Neasa played gaurdian. The small figure, with skin the color of jade smiled softyly with her kind yet wonderous eyes.
" Are you alright, child? You've been in these woods for sometime. Is everything alright?" Came the questions of the kayen who stood at a distance incase she scared the small girl. Her colorful green hair tickled her ankles, as the small off-white dress clung to her body as if it were old and weightless, falling just shy of her mid-thigh. Neasa \may not generally like humans, as they have a habbit for destroying nature pointlessly. However, this was an innocent child who seemed lost and confused.
Derek stayed back, watching in silence as the girl which seemed to be adored by the plants which now sprouted between her toes and around her feet. What the hell is going on? First a child sleeping on air, now a girl green in color? Did someone slip som acid or something into my coffee? The young man wondered in silence.

Trinity lifted her head up slightly hearing a voice. Did they find me? Is that Mommy? Daddy... has someone came to take me home? The little girls thoughts came to her mind, but as she looked over in the direction of the voice, she became disappointed but still happy to see and talk to someone else, but to her.. she wondered if they were going to take her back home to her mean foster parents. With a frown on her face she answered the womans questions.
"Alright? I don't know... " She plainly stated. She wasn't sure if she was fine, or if she wasn't. Emotionally the child was in a state of confusion and hurting, but physically, she seemed fine. So much the child has gone through since the death of her parents, but she some how managed to make it this far. Trinity looked around then back at the woman noticing the aray of flowers and earthy tone to her. Who was this person? Was she even a person? "I want my mommy and daddy back..." She started to cried again putting her head back down on her Teddy bear that was only visable to her at the time. To Neasa, it would seem like she was able to perform acts of a mime. The house still stood around her but with the emotional stress the child just encountered, the shelter disappeared suddenly from around her.

" Well, where are they?" Asked Neasa, calmly walking closer. She sat herself on her own knees beside the child, leaning foreward to look at her face. Something had to be there in order for the child to be doing such a thing...right? Prehaps, but then again, maybe not. Such things didn't seem important right now. A small adolescent child was weeping and missed her parents, that was what was important. How to make the small girl smile and be slightly happier was the first thing Neasa decided to do. With a slight movement of her hand a small flower bloomed before Trinity, Neasa looked to the child and pointed at the flower. The beautiful blue flower began to dance in a wind that no one could feel, musically swirling and bobbing to try and cheer the child up. " Look, even the earth wants you happy. I should know, I'm part of it." Neasa said warmly, smooth the small girls hair with her green fingers.
Derek felt his heart start to ache at the sight of adorable Trinity weeping in such a manor. It was like the small girl had grasped his heart with both hands, tore it from his chest, and was now shredding it with a pair of rusty scissors. Yes, it was that miserable for him to watch the child cry. He stepped forward and was instantly frozen, it seemed, by the look Neasa gave him. IT was a lioness protecting a cub. However, regain his thoughts. Derek walked closer. " Hello, Little One. I'm Derek, what's your name?" A pleasent start to say the least.

Well, Where are they?
The child let the sobs stop for a moment, but tears still ran down her cheeks. She looked off passed her teddy bear, now noticing that the shelter had disappered from her sight. "My mommy and daddy... got hurt... we had an .. acci- see- ent." She wiped away a tear that bothered her cheek as the other side of her face a tear drop fell from her chin and landed on the earth below her. The Teddy bear that was in her arms, she put to the side while she sat back up, taking a breath. "... the people that took me said that they were dead... and i was alone now..." Trinity watched as the flower danced around, and the child felt herself unable to cry anymore at the sight. However, happiness was something of the past to her. Trinity closed her eye's feeling the womans hands on her head.
Mommy used to comb my hair all the time.. and she used to tickel my neck... I miss my mommy. She seems nice like momma was. She acts like mommy. When i don't feel good, or when i was hurt. She took care of me... she had a soft voice, too. Trinity's attention suddenly reverted to another who came out of the bushes and immediatly, she thought the same when she heard Neasa. There coming back to get me to take to that mean 'foster mom and dad'. Seeing the guy, she took a frown to her face and scooted back away from him.
"Are you coming to take me back? I don't want to go back... please, don't make me go!" The child suddenly acted afraid. Unlike with Neasa, this guy didn't look different. That scared the child into thinking that he was trying to bring her back to ther foster parents.

" Come here child, if you don't want to go, you need not go. Come here." Neasa said, standing and holding her hands out for the small child to take. Dangerous eyes fell on Derek who felt almost like an insect by the time the small girl had backed away and started to look timid and afraid. " I will not allow you to be taken to a place you don't want to go. Those people are horrible for telling you that you are alone. Because, my sweet child, you are never alone." Neasa continued, getting to one knee and waiting for the small girl to come to her side.
" I wasn't going to take you anywhere. I just wanna help is all. You look so alone, so tired. I don't mean to scare you or anything. Look, I'll make a deal with you, Kiddo. If I say anything you don't like...you can punch me in the stomach. Or your friend here can punch me. I won't fight back, as long as it is a legitimate reason." Derek said, his voice calm. He stood up, arms out as if he were saying he wouldn't touch her unless she was okay with it. He felt that Trinity needed a hug, but was sure the green-skinned lady was going to be the first to get that.
" He seems sincere." Neasa muttered to herself. Her dark eyes returned to Trinity. " You may call me Neasa, my dear. What is your name?" Asked the kayen, her voice soft and welcoming. She didn't like to see a frightened child. It didn't settled well with her at all.

Trinity's eye's stared at Derek for a moment before hearing Neasa speaking to her. If you don't want to go, you need not go. She was going to protect her and keep her safe from Derek if that's what his mission was going to be. With a softened expression, she looked to Neasa for a moment, then got closer to her, away from Derek. "I don't want to go back to those mean people. They don't care about me." She started as she finally came beside Neasa, putting a hand on the arm that was stretched out, then she looked back at Derek yet again hearing him speak to her. She listened to him reasonably, but she still felt unsure about him just yet. With another hand brought up to her face, she wiped away the remaining tear that refused to trail down her cheek.
"You promise you won't take me anywhere?" She asked as she kept beside Neasa. The fear inside of the young girl seemed to demenish some, allowing her to be sure of what she was doing. She turned to attention to Neasa hearing her name. "Nee-asa? My name..." She paused a moment, letting a needed breath fill her lungs. "Trinity... Derek? If your not going to take me back to those people... why are you out here by yourself? Where is your mommy and daddy?"

Derek smiled softly. " No, Trinity, I'm not going to take you anywhere. I promise." The young man said, sitting himself in a comfortable position against a tree trunk. He leaned his head back and looked up to the sky as she spoke of his parents. This would probably give the child some reassurence, she wasn't the only one without a mother of father. " I'm a lot like you, Trinity. My mommy and daddy aren't alive either." He said calmly, eyes moving to look at the child.
Derek watched as Neasa's green arm secured the small child ins a gentle half-hug. It seemed the child was more drawn to the green woman than she was to him. That was fine, everyone had their own kind of prefrence of those who made them feel safe. " Close enough." Neasa said softly at the attempt of saying her name. " As I said, you won't go back if you don't want to. I won't allow him to take you back if that is his mission."
" Like I said, I'm not taking her anywhere she doesn't want to go. Especially if these people were mean and don't care about her. I'm not going to force anything upon a child. It's not my thing, lady. So chill." The young man's voice was very calm as he spoke, though he was feeling a bit like a broken record. " Why am I out here by myself? I've never been to the forest before and felt like taking a walk. This is where my feet took me." Explained the young man. He was trying to answer all of the small childs questions. He watched as Neasa gingerly whiped any stray tears from Trinity's face with gentle fingers. It was like the teenager, in appearence, had delt with children many times. Truth be told, she had on occasion helped a lost child once or twice.

Trinity took a moment and lowered her head, letting her short brown hair fall over her cheeks as she felt Neasa's arm around her. She felt safe and comfortable. Soemthing she had needed for a while. The only other thing she ever had was her Teddy bear. Seeing him sit down, also reassured Trinity of his wantings, but being as young as she was, she only knew what was going on now. She trusted who she thought she could, and with the promise, she beleived him. Her mother taught her the meaning of a promise, and remembered what it meant.
"Derek?" She started but not really sure why she just said his name. He didn't have parents either, and that saddened her too. She knew what it felt like to loose parents and he didn't seem to sad about it. "What happened to your momma and daddy?" She asked him as she moved closer to him and stopped for a moment. Teddy? Where is teddy? Instantly, she turned back to where she previously was in the shelter that disappeared and saw the bear was gone. "Teddy?" She asked and then almost as if she wished for it, the bear appeared in her arms and she hugged it. It was a mere illusion to Derek and Neasa. Holding on to the bear, she sat down infront of Derek, waiting on the answer about his parents.

" My parents?" Derek asked, looking to the small child. He smiled softly for a minuete, finding her simply adorable. " Well, Trinity, My father died before I was born. What happened, I'm not exactly sure. My mother died a few years ago from cancer." The young man explained. He seemed so calm and comfortable being asked questions which might have choked other people up. Mentally, he was fairly sad and kind of longed to see his parents again.
Neasa watched in silence, standing near the small girl, and watching the boy intently. If he tried to take the girl away she would do her best to at least slow him down until she could find the lizard-man and request his help.
((Aw, such craapp!!!))

Trinity looked at Derek with such involvment with his situation. She knew what was going on, but when he said that his mom died from Cancer, she was confused. "What is.. Cancer?" She asked in her natural abilities, but stood up with her teddy bear in her arms, but looked like she was holding her arm out to nothing. She looked back at Neasa for a moment before moving toward the man. "Derek... the nurse in the hos-pital gave me a hug to make me feel better, I'll give you a hug... to make you feel better!" She said as she moved close to him putting the bear down and wrapped her arm around his neck. Finally for once, she didn't feel so alone. "Where do you live at Derek?" She asked looking back at Neasa. "Nee-asa... I'm tired..." She said wondering if she would look after her while she slept on the forest floor.

" Cancer is a sickness that kills people. " Derek explained in the best possible way. He almost felt happy to have the hug and hugged her back gently. He was like this small girl in many ways. Hugs seemed to be medicine to the two of them. And as she said, he did feel better. " I live with my grandparents. My mommy and daddy's mommy and daddy." He said, feelign a bit silly after saying it. He hadn't caleld them such things since he was very young. It felt odd, yet some what understandable.
" You can sleep here. If you'd like I can ask the plants to help provide you with a blanket. I'm sure Teddy wouldn't mind being warm." Neasa said as she bent over and picked Teddy up, brushing him off to ensure the bear wasn't carring any bugs or the such. She held the teddy bear gently and smiled down at it, finding the small toy adorable.
" Teddy? What Teddy? I don't see anything but the trees, and use three." The young man said. This merely confused Neasa a little. She held the bear out to him.
" This is Teddy. Can't yo usee him?" Neasa asked curiously.
" Um...no. No I can't." Derek explained rather calmly.

Trinity frowned at the thought of dieing from being sick. She hated to be sick but her mommy always made her feel better, but she didn't know how it worked when the mother was sick. "My mommy and daddy's momma and dad are dead too. I don't have anyone to stay with. They tried to put me with these people, but they are not nice people." She repeated thinking back to the people and alot of how they used to make her feel bad by not talking to her or allowing her to join in on fun things.
Teddy? What is teddy?.... no.. I can't see him! Trinity looked at Derek funny as she saw Neasa handing the bear to Derek. The bear was sitting there in fur and fluff and Derek couldn't see him. "Are you making fun of Teddy?" She asked as she reached over and took the bear from Neasa, giving it a hug. "Teddy is my best friend. He is always with me when I want him to be!" She told him and handed the bear to him. he'd be able to feel it, but not see it. This is something she would find out for the first time that noone could see the things that she could make in her mind. A power that would come in handy one day.

" I am sorry sweety, I can feel him. But I don't see him. Must be related to your powers." Derek said as kindly as possibly, running his hands over the bear which lay invisible in his lap. He looked down at the place his hands were feeling and shrugged. He was certain however, that the bear was indeed adorable. " I am sure, however, that he is a loyal and good teddy." Derek added, nodding his head.
Neasa walked over and rested a hand on Trinity's shoulder. " I think it's just you and I that can see Teddy, right now my dear. I don't know why that is. But maybe Derek will be able to see how amazing Teddy is soon. Okay? Now, where woudl you like to nap?" Neasa asked, a hand combing through the small girls hair to insure that it wasn't knotted or matted.

"You can really can't see him? Teddy? He's right there.. in your hands. I don't understand it?" She said completely confused at this moment. Why could he not see him. It was there, and she could see him, but she finally accepted the fact that he couldn't see teddy. "Well, Teddy is very... good teddy. He loves me! So, Nee-asa can see him, right?"
She asked with an actualy 'smile' on her face. For the first time with her new friends, she was actually able to smile. "Powers? I didn't know I had powers... but is wanting something then it being there, powers?" She asked remembering in the last week whenever she wanted something it would be there, but she also remembered the time that she got really mad and Teddy came alive and pushed the mean Foster parent out of the way. Did he see Teddy do that?
"I just want to sleep. I'm really tired!" She said and placed a cover around her body just small enough to conceal her in it. Since Neasa could see what she could make, the shelter was just like a mere box, with just an opening at the side where the two were so she could see them. The house was a simple shade of blue. She looked over at Derek to see if he could see her. "If he can't see my house, any one can see me? I'm not hiding?"
