Tiny paws padded through the forest. The tree's around kept the sound from traveling as the claws connected with the dirt as the tiny tiger ran. Her happy disposition was present on her orange face, looking up, the light hit her color and made it glow.
Erin ran fast in her animal form, well... as fast as a five inch tiger could, letting nothing stand in her way. She didn't look back, but kept her gaze on the prize ahead. To anyone else, there would have been nothing there to explore or see, but Erin wanted to see the area in which her dad grew up to see. She slowed down to a halt and panted heavily and she looked back not noticing where her father had gone. She began to get worried. The tiny tiger moved back a few steps, as the young girls' form started to take place into a human again. She looked around for her father. "DADDY? WHere are you?" She asked wondering if he was playing a trick on her or if he had lost the small animal as she ran.
Putting a hand on a tree, she watched diligently, waiting for some kind of movement. I wonder where he could be... I wonder if I left him behind? I probably did... I'm getting fast... noone can out run me! She thought to herself with a grin.

A soft breeze flittered through the trees, carrying along with it a small monarch butterfly. A soft gaze that blared through the bushes were intent on only one thing. The girl. She was standing with her back to him. Perfect.. He thought, his tail up in the air, flickering back and forth in anticipation, the stripes leaving remisicent lines through the air as it sped up. His butt wiggled and he leaped through the trees to the girl standing nearby. "Gotcha!" He chuckled as he landed beside her. " Come on Erin! Didnt think you could outrun ya pops did ya?" He asked, chuckling. He chuffed at her, his feline way of showing affection and turned to the trees edge. "Physsel Forest. Beautiful isnt it?" He said admiringly. " The trees used to be so much thicker and taller. The green would make any color paint cower in shame. Beautiful place indeed." His great head shook out from the run. "You did give me a pretty good run for my money though little one!" He said, shouldering her leg gently. "You are getting fast! So! What part of the forest do you want to see first? The ground? Or the canopy?"

Erin looked around, still wondering where Jason had went. She edged around the tree with her eye's, until she caught the sound that didn't register until the sound had made an appearance beside her. Her father, in his feline form, pounced beside her, as a little yelp came from her voice. "Daddy, you scared me!" She said as she hugged on to her dad for a moment.
"I love it daddy, it's so beautiful... I guess since the war... it's not as big though either, is it?" She asked. "If the tree's were any bigger, I'd feel even smaller.. ha ha... but One of these days Dad, I'm going to out run you and you'll never catch up to me... I'm goign to be really fast.... Not even mommy can teleport that fast to get me!"
The childhood imagination ran on, as the little girl looked up into the canopy, wondering what it was like up there as well. She'd been running on the ground, but to fly up into the canopy would be a wonderful experience. She knew that it would be one to tell her brother, since he didn't get to come. Something she was have as a tale to taunt him with. She nodded to Jason's cat form. "Daddy.. can we see up there... in the tree's? What do I turn into? Bird... butterfly... owl...? YOu pick...?"

"Yes, it used to be much bigger back then, but this forest wasnt harmed as much as the other places of Cassis during the attacks. Hmm?" He heard her excitedly talking about how fast she would run and Jason chuckled. "Yes of course!" He said, letting her imagination run free. "Well.. " He closed his eyes, and transformed into a small dragon, not much larger than Erin would be able to manage. He snapped open his wings and examined them. They had taken on the look of a bat, the bones protruding into hooks at the very peak, with bright blue skin stretched across between them. "I think this would do." He said, pursing his lips and letting off a little bit of smoke. "Why go for the ordinary, when we can do the extraordinary?" He asked with a gleam in his eye. "Alright, now this transformation can be tricky, but dont worry, youre such a bright girl. What I need to you do is envision this form, okay? It can be any color, have fun with it. Now I want you to think about what a normal bat would need to fly. A light body, strong back muscles, and sturdy wings. Now. Think of a reptile, I want you to put those thoughts into forming a vision of a reptile with bat wings okay?.. Got it?" He asked, checking on her progress. " Now I want you to think of a spark, deep within you, that uses a type of ignited gas.. Now you should be able to breath fire in this form.. Can you do it hon?"

Erin grinned huge as the form sat infront of her was her father. Such a brilliant person in her life, giving her the options to do something so outrageous and fun. She knew that her mother would worry about her doing such a dramatic transformation besides teh ordinary. The EXTRAORDINARY Erin let her mind wonder for a moment until her dad started to talk and she took in everything he spoke to heart. She needed to listen, and needed to work hard to get teh transformation right the first time. Any mistake and the form of the animal would come out horribly wrong. She smiled to her dad hearing him speak, and as instructed she let her eye's close and she instantly thought about the ingredients to this animals structure.
Okay.. he said to see the form, right? Envision means see or look... done. About the wings... bat wings... they are very durable.... claws at the tips, right? Dragons have claws so, I need to do that... Any color.. I want to be a purple dragon... the color of Mommies hair! Yes, dark purple! Okay, lets see... reptile? Eww... they have scales and stuff... well, if you say so Daddy! Instantly as she spoke the last bit of words in her thoughts, her form started to shift, and a few seconds later, the dragon had appeared. Her wings were just like her dad's and her body was just a bit smaller. Over half the size of Jason. She smiled in her dragon form as she tried to follow her fathers example and make smoke, but nothing came out. "I didn't do it daddy... I can't make smoke like you..." SHe said in a hushed tone, sad that she hadn't been able to complete her tranformation with the fire and smoke area. "WEll, I guess daddy, you don't want me smoking anyways, huh?" She added to lighten her mood, but worked just slightly. She moved her wings out and fluttered them, taking herself off the ground a few inches then laid back down. She looked at JAson.

Jason watched as his daughter concentrated on the form. "That's a girl!" He said excitedly and proudly as she stood in front of him as a purple smaller version of his dragon. "Do not worry about that dear, the fact that you got the form right.. that is amazing! It took me quite a few times the first time I tried to become a dragon.. Well then!" He took in the color she chose. He told her to have fun and she chose to become one the exact color of her mothers hair. A tear almost came to his eye. His little girl.. So sweet.. "Okay..Can you fly?" He saw her flutter up, but wondered if maybe she needed to stay close to the ground as she got used to being in this form. " We can wander around for a little while if you want to get used to the wings and flying methods of a dragon. Now you dont just flap your wings, your body will dulate, your head will extend, followed by your front legs and then your back legs, then your tail, kindof like a worm-movement, okay? Go ahead. Try it out."

Erin fluttered her wings again staying alof for just a moment before loosing her balance and landing back down on her feet. She dropped her head slightly listening to her father for a moment. Could she fly? Could she really catch on that quickly? "Well, Daddy.. I wanna fly so bad... I just wanna take off... but if I do.. I do'nt wanna fall... How long did it take you to learn to fly?" She asked him as she took off in a horse trot around Jason, getting a feel for the form she had taken image of. She stopped momentarily, shaking her head and using her foot to scratch a part of her neck. "It feels strange as a dragon... these scales are itchy... and they feel funny!" She said as she stretched her wings yet again and took off in a run away from Jason and her wings started to flap wildly, lifting her body off the ground a few inches... then a foot.. they a few feet. She let out a growl, as if in dragon language for a laughter, but as soon as she started to flap her wings to keep her afloat, her balance took a turn for the worse and she fell to the ground. The dragon form crumpled to the ground as she lifted her dragon head up and moved slowly.

"Yes it does take some getting used to. I had to get the technique down , which did take a few attempts..Erin?" He said as he looked around. He had been talking to himself it seemed. A small dragon flew in front of him, but the way .. no.. she would never be able to.. Oh no! Jason watched Erin fall out of the sky. He could tell by the way she was trying, which was just with her wings, that it wouldnt be enough to keep her up. If she hadnt of lost her balance, she would have worn herself out soon anyway.
Jason ran to the fallen dragon, flying part of the way to get there quicker. "Erin!" He shouted. "I said stay close to the ground!" His small dragon form nuzzling her, trying to get her to look at him. "Crazy child! No one is able to do it the first time, and getting off the ground is the easy part.." Jason's gaze shifted to the forest, looking around to see if there was anyone there before turning back to Erin. He changed back into his own form and picked Erin up off of the ground gingerly. "It'll be okay, I think it just knocked the breath out of you.. Next time, stay as close to the ground as possible.. If your mom found out.. " Jason shook his head and actually shuddered at the thought of Missy's anger. " She'd have my head. You okay sweetie?"

Erin looked back at her father, feeling utterly ashamed that she had fallen, but seemed to take a few breaths slowly. She had returned to her human form just moments after that. Knocked the breath out of me? I'll say.. that landing hurt.. I guess it's kinda like the saying.. watch that first step... it's a doozy? Oh... wow... that landing really hurt. I hope daddy dont get in trouble with mom. She'll be mad![/i] She smiled to her dad as he picked her up and felt that loving feeling from her dad as she gave him a hug, holding her arms around his neck. "I'm fine daddy... just dont tell mom... I dont want her to know I failed at something.. and please don't tell Eric.. cause he'll tease me if you do!"
She nodded slightly to nothing but moved to get out of Jason's grasp as she let her feet touch the ground. I think I like the being a cat and a mini-tiger better. As least I dont fall or anything. But I must get stronger... I must make Daddy proud of me... I need to learn that better! She let her eyebrow raise on either side. "What are we going to do now?"
