A young woman walked with rather large cart being pushed behind her. She used one hand to push the wheeled basket forward, while the other would occasionally help turn the cart in the right direction. Her hiphuggers where just that, hugging her hip and waist, slim fitting and flattering towards her figure. She wore them with a pair of stilletto boots which were hidden beneath her pants. Lorna Russu walked alone, shopping for what was needed at the inn. Several of the store owners would leave their stores, carring cloth baskets or bags of boxs of food and placing it in her cart.
" Thank you." She said with a warm smile as she walked further down the path. She would leave her cart, one of the store's workers watching it for her, to go in and get what she needed from the store before her and then return moments later. It was her typical Wednesday afternoon. She'd stop and have lunch at a small little walk in cafe or something, then cart all the things back to the Russu Inn.
" Hi, Lorna." An elderly mean behidn a counter full of fish said, waving his hand over his shoulder to a younger man. " We have the trout you wanted." The man said as the young man from before returned with several fish wrapped in wax paper, gently placing them ontop her cart. Lorna smiled, holding a fifty out to him and winked, causing the young teen to blush and her to laugh.
" Kids." Laughed Lorna as she walked away, heading towards a bread vendor to pick up her preordered loaves that she had called about earlier in the day.

Devon walked down the marketplace with long strides. His head tilted upward, his eyes closed, he merely smelled the wonders this place had to offer. The tempting smell of sweet pastries, the tart smell of freshly baked bread, the juicy mouthwatering meat.. If he didnt stop, this was going to kill him. He smiled at the thought and looked down. A familiar face talking to the man in front of a counter full of fish. He paused. Merely watching her talk made his heart beat just a little bit faster, actually brought the beginnings of a blush to his cheeks. He felt like a little teenager, akward and unsure, but he would act casual around her. Always showing her that tougher side of him.
He walked up, putting a hand to the back of the cart and helping push it, hoping she would notice that it was a little easier to pull and look back. He smirked and watched her walk. Her hip huggers shifted back and forth with each step and he heard the click of high heels. Fun to watch a real woman walk, that swing in her hips. He grinned and looked up, his silver eyes flashing with humor. His red hair shone with copper high-lights in the brightness of the day. "Where you goin sugar?" He said with a thick accent. " Wont mind if I follow eh?"

Lorna had noticed that the cart was a little easier to pull, but had thought it was merely her imagination. As it had been in many cases, it seems. However, the voice of the man she found simply stunning and to be completely delightful in all aspects startled her tp the point she jumped a little, hand shooting to her chest as if her heart was about to come out. " Oh, D., you scared me. God...don't ever do that again, unless you plan to make up for it later." She sighed as she continued her walking, and turned her head to look back at him.
" I'm going to the bakery down at the far end, then to a few fruit stands. I wouldn't mind the company at all. But if those girls mob you, do I have permission to...'punish' them?" She asked sweetly, winking before she turned to face forward-to avoid hitting anyone. Like most people, she walked with pride and grace. It was what she had been born to do. Anyone to have seen her before during her delienquint stage would thing she had been to different people because then her posture was horrible and her attitude simply rude.
" How are things, Handsome?" She asked, attempting to carry a simple conversation, keep herself from raping him, breathing, walking, and trying to let him know he was drop dead gorgeous all at once. Oh, but Lorna was absolutely sure Devon knew he was handsome. She would bet vital parts of her anatomy on that one.

"Well, lets see then eh? I was walking down the street, just reveling in the wonderful smells that this place carried, when what is this? My eye caught a beauty! Pulling a cart all by her lonesome. Couldn't have that now could I?" He asked, a grin showing the dimples in his cheeks. "So I came over here, just to catch this beauty's attention, by helping her a little with her cart. I would love to be your company." He said with a wink to match hers.
"If the girl's maul me, then by all means. I would love to have you as my girl in shining armour. Promise to protect me? " He asked with his lower lip stuck out in a pout. "And if I scare you again, which is something that I promise to do, I will absolutely swear on my honor as a man to make up for it later." He said, nodding his head resolutely.
"How are things for me? Well.. With a view like this one, how could things be anything but quite the best I have ever seen?.. Oh.. Been. Eh?" He said chuckling. He let the word slip on purpose, he felt in such a good mood now, he just couldn't help joking with her. But he was sure that he spoke the truth as she turned around to walk toward her destination, and his eyes inadvertantly *cough cough* Went back to watching her walk. A small smile played on his lips, "So, Gorgeous, how are things in your neck of the woods eh?"

" Flattery is getting you everywhere, my dear man." Lorna smirked a little and look back at him with a little shake of her head. Typical man, watching a woman walk. Well, it didn't phase her much. It was something most anyone does, watching the way others walked. If he was before her, there was no doubt in her mind, Lorna would have watched him as well. However, she wouldn't have been able to fight back her urge to touch[/u].
" Ah, no. No shining armor for me. Takes the fun out of everything. If you're going to get in the fight you need cuts and bruises to show how much damage you took and proove you put up a good fight." Nodded the young woman as she slowed to a stop before a bakery. " Here is our fist stop." She smiled as a small child came out and said she would watch the cart while Lorna went inside.
" Poker, poker, poker." Chuckled a middle-aged woman. " Have you roped another young man into helping you? What was it this time? You just got your nails done?" Asked the woman, almost harshly. But Lorna laughed and the two hugged. " Well, anyways, Your bread is out back. I'll go get it."
" Got any cakes made? I have a hankering for one of your husbands good ol' cheesecakes." Lorna said, walking into the store, waving for D to fallow. It was obvious that the older woman had known Lorna during her ... rough times. Truth be told the bakers wife was once Lorna's gang leader, just because she was 10 years older didn't mean anything. And just because Lorna wasn't 'Poker' anymore, there were someone that would forever know the wildcat that had been Lorna in her youth.
" Poker, Darlin!" Carled a large hefty man who nearly broke every bone in Lorna's body with a hug. " I thought I heard yer' voice. Cheesecake, ya say? I get one fer ya." The man laughed heartily and disappeared into a kitchen area. Him and his wife, the wife with two large loaves of bread the husband with a cake box. " Hear, Youngin'. Carry that for Poker 'ere. Will ya?" the hefty baker asked D, holding the cake box out to him.

"Everywhere you say?" He asked, an eyebrow raising as a smile lit his face. "There is the Lorna I can't wait to meet! Are you sure you dont want at least some chainmail?" He asked with a contemplative look. She caught him looking at her and all he could do was grin and shrug. He walked around the cart, holding the door open for her as she walked in. He stood there, not knowing really what to say as the girl's talked.
D. watched the man hug Lorna, Poker? His eyebrows raised in a questioning look. He thought he remembered her saying something about that being a nickname of hers. He shook his head with a smile and looked up just in time to see a cake box being shoved at him. "Eh? Only if I get a peice of it!" He said joking as he took the box. "She didn't rope me into helping ma'am, I volunteered. " He said, showing his pearly white teeth in a big smile. He held the door open once more for Lorna to walk out with the bread. As she passed by, he leaned forward, his lips brushing her ear as she walked by. "Promise to feed me some of the cake eh?"
He walked out after her, a new swagger in his steps as he carefully and dramatically carried her cheesecake. "Make way!" He said loudly, holding the cake out before him as if it were a great present to be bestowed upon Lorna. He smiled over the box and wiggled his eyebrows up and down. " Anymore stops? Or do I get cake now?"

Lorna smiled, and turned, tapping her chin thoughtfully. " How do I know you won't run off after I feed you?" She asked, rasing a singly brow, a smirk on her face. Of course, she didn't know that he would. But it was always a possiblity and one she wasn't very fond of. And if he did leave, she was sure her day would be much less entertaining. The brush had set her gears turning, but she would resist them for now and try to keep her cool.
" I do need to get my fruits and the veggies for tonights stew." Lorna said absent mindedly walking in circles around D. It was just to tease him, and to show that she was actually thinking about which to do first. She stopped behind him, leaning her back against his gently, still tapping her finger on her chin. She pushed herself from that leaning position, using her rear to push against him and walked to her cart.
" What do you think? Cheesecake first? Or shopping?" She asked casually leaning fore arms on the carts handle.

D. smiled as she walked circles around him, his muscles twitching, wanting to reach out and bring her toward him. He kept his arms at his sides. "I dont run." He said in a low husky tone. He smiled slowly as she leaned up against his back. " If you dont want to feed me..well....Then I guess things like that can wait until after you are done shopping?" He said softly. She pushed against him and he closed his eyes. "Careful, doll, eh?" He said, chuckling softly but with a sense of strain. "Thats not fair." His head dropped and he looked back through his hair to look at her leaning cross the handles. "So not fair.." He muttered. He straightened up and ran a hand through his hair to straighten it out , and shook it back to its natural position.
He took a deep breath and turned around. "You are scary sometimes.. " He muttered with a hint of humor. Her pushing against even his back like that.. He shook the thought out of his head. She was worried about girl's mauling him? He was worried about him with her! He smiled, only one half of his lips curling up. He leaned against the cart, keeping a hand on it to make sure it didnt roll away, and smiled from only inches away from her face. "You tell me love. Food.. Or shopping?"

" Sweetheart, I never play far." She bring her face a little closer as if to kiss him. However she stood straight and smiled down at him, her hands settling on her hips. Teeth began to chew at the left corner of her lower lip, showing she was debating with herself. Giving away the fact that now he wasn't play all that fair either. But, what did she care? Oh, that's right...she didn't. She just enjoyed having a little fun first before giving in even a little.
" So, I think today I'll go to lunch first instead of shopping like every other day. Those days lacked one thing, Such a delightful companion who doesn't play very fair either." She said with that same playful little smile as she walked by and backhanded his rear. " Come on, Slowpoke. If you want that cheesecake, we've got to go somewhere to eat, now don't we?" She said over her shoulder with a smile of pure satisfaction as she used one finger to beckon him to fallow her. On hand wrapped around the cart's handle and she waited for him to fallow her towards the sitting area before a small little coffee shop on the street corner.

"Sweetheart, I never play fair"
"Damn straight." He said, trying to sound upset, but losing his edge when she leaned in close. His eyes lingered on her lips as she stood back up. He was still leaning against the cart when she smacked his butt, and he merely looked back at her. The look in his eyes was nothing short of one but amusement mixed with more than a little lust. " A case of the pot calling the tea pot black eh?" He asked standing up straight as she took ahold of the cart. He leaned in close to her, pressing up against her right side. " No.. I dont intend to play fair. If I did, what fun would it be?" He asked, backing up and heading toward the sitting area.
A hand waved in the air nonchalantly. " I wouldnt think that you would be interested in someone that played fair anyways, so why try, eh?" He paused, looking back at her. " I want my cake.. " He said softly, noting that it would be fun to eat it while being fed by a beautiful lady. He waited by a table, pulling the chair out for her. He placed the box in the middle of the glass top. "Ladies first."

"A man after my own heart. About time someone realised that a fun and amazing chase means an amazing end." Lorna smirked a little as he walked off. She chuckled softly, : I wouldn't be any fun at all." She whispered to herself before shaul the cart and herself towards the table he had decide was to be theirs. And without much thought she sat, crossing one leg over the other and smiling.
" Your cake? My dear, it is far from being yours. It is my money that bought said cake." She said, a face of mock anger on her face as she sat comfortably in her chair and waited for him to see. The day for Lorna had started out rather bland and bpring. But, she could see, it was getting better and better with each passing moment.
I'll continue playing against the rules for a little longer, he plays back. About time I ran into someone like myself. As long as he continues to be patient, I'll give him a little reward. Her mind was made up. If he continued to be patient and put up with her rulebreaker ways, she prehaps give him some sign of affection. Something to let him know that not getting pissy or anxious alwaus lead to a prize at the end of things.

" I was promised a peice!" He said slowly, his head next to hers as he pushed her seat in closer to the table. He walked past her slowly as well, his face on hers the whole way. He sat down, pulling the seat in behind him as he sat. "So. " He said simply, pulling the delicious looking cake out of the box. His mouth started to water just looking at it. He quickly stuck a finger on one side, hurrying so she couldnt stop him. He would eat that peice. He stuck his finger in his mouth, sucking the creamy cake off of his finger. "Delicious.." He said after slowly bringing the finger out of his mouth. "Where are my manners?" He asked. He looked at Lorna innocently. "You seem to have the world in your pockets, got a knife by any chance?" He asked laughing. His thumb went to the corner of his lip, catching the little bit he had lost, and he carefully licked that off of the pad of his thumb. "Dont mind me, eh?" He said softly, watching her intently. He was enjoying this. He knew that today would be a good day. He had been a little disappointed to wake up and find that the proprietor, i.e. Lorna, had stepped out for the day, that is why he had left in the first place. Not to find her, that was just a coincidence, but just to not think about her not being there. And here he was. A table sitting in between them, with a cake, that he hoped to be licking off of her fingers instead of his own.

" Oh, the world you say? Now, that would be much harder and much more of a hassle then finding a knife." She laughed softly, resting one elbow on the table with that hands palm up to rest her chin in. " No, no. No knife." She said with a shake of her head, blue eyes watching his ever motion. Oh, he's good. She thought to herself. But, not moving her gaze from his, with her pointer, thumb and middle finger she removed one of the strawberries.
With care, Lorna bit into the end of the ripe, red, fruit and slowly removed it from her lips to leave about half of it remaining. " Besides." She began, taking the final half of the strawberry -the small leaves and all- and popping it into her mouth. " Your way works fine as well. Once more she plucked off one of the strawberries. This time however, she slowly dragged it across her slightly ajar bottom lip, suckled the end and then slowly ate it. Two can play at that game, my dear. Her thoughts were her own, and that made her smile a little.
" But, if you'd prefer a fork or knife you'll have to ask the waiter I do suppose." She said with a shrug as she sat back after plucking a nother strawberry from the top of the cake. Unlike the ones before she had gently dipped it into the surface of the cheesecake a and then repeated what she did to the second strawberry.Unlike D, however, she didn't miss a single bit of the cake.

"No knife? How sad.." He said, watching her eat the strawberries, he shuddered. "Damn." he muttered. He watched her pick up another strawberry and before he knew it, he grabbed her wrist softly, bringing her hand over to his mouth. His full lips covered the fruit, and bit down slowly, letting the strawberry practically melt in his mouth before releasing her wrist. "Remember..You are supposed to be feeding me." He said softly. He took her hand, this time just by the palm, and lowered her hand to the cake, as it took up some of the center, he lifted her hand to his lips, and began to lick the cake off of it.
"No, I dont think a fork or spoon would do it.. Your fingers work nicely." He said, raising his eyebrows but keeping his sights on the cake.
**Sorry, my dad came in here and starting talking to me and threw my thoughts off whack..***

" Well, as long as your happy I guess. A deal is a deal you know." Lorna nodded her head and rolled her eyes as he licked the cake from her hand. She laughed softly, her hand feeling only a little violated in someway. But, hey she didn't mind at all. " I'd at least like to know who or what you have licked in the last twenty-four hours." She said sarcasticly, smirking before using her other hand to pluck another strawbarry and toss it into her mouth.
Satisfied with having the strawberry, replacing the one D had stolen so rudely. Well, rude was a bit of an understatement. Raising an eyebrow she turned to whart she liked to call...The Maul Squad. A group of underaged pre-teen girls who struted about as if they were adult woman and threw themselves at men.
" Oh, joy." Muttered Lorna as she rolled her eyes. Whilst D was in the middle of licking some of the cake she caught his tonge between two fingers playfully and to get his attention. " Here they come. Right when things were getting interesting." Sigh Lorna, as shook her head once more.
The group of 14 year old hussies siddled up to a table very near D and Lorna. Many whispering rude thins about Lorna not being 'Good Enough' or 'It Should Be (InsertGroupLeadersNameHere) Instead.' Things like that. Oh they're little voices were like nails on chalkboard to Lorna Russu. She had yelled at them many times for flocking to her inn to watch Dorian or any other fairly atractive man.
" For the love of." Mutter Lorna. And, for reasons only Lorna could know -and us readers-, she gently stood up from her seat. She slowly slipped her hand from Devon's and walked up behind him. Wrapping her arms around his neck, bringing her lips close to his ear she made like she was sweet-talking.
" Though I am sure you are as thrilled as I am, this is for all my anti-fan's." She said to him, watching the girls squeal and grumble in frustration. " Oh, how the squiiirm." She smiled, whispering into his ear more. The fact she was rather happy drapped about his shoulders had absolutely[/u][/i] noothing to do with it. Okay, well. Maybe just a little.
Okay. A lot.
