He woke up from a long nights sleep. As he stretched, he could tell by the sunrise that it was going to be a nice day. He jumped out of the tree he stayed in the night before and looked around knowing he needed to feed. As he walked in the woods he came across a dead animal. "Well, that will do for breakfast." He thought to himself as he knelt down and drank the blood that was seeping out of the animal.
After he finished drinking the blood and knowing his blood lust for the day has been satisfied he continued his walk in the woods. He cleared his mind and started to think about that day 11 years ago when his father told him what he was and he started his training. It was another 4 years after that, at the age of 17 he left home for good and became a wandering nomad. Now 7 years later he is 24 years old. He stands at 5'9" and weighs 185 lbs. At first glance one would think he was normal, but if they looked closer they would see that he was everything but normal. He enjoyed the peaceful serenity of this forest. Even though he had no clue where he was, he didn't care

It wasn't like them to be out still so early in the morning. Usually, by now, Rayner was just tucking his beloved baby sister into bed and going about doing the house work or something. But, no, not today. Rayner walked in his dark jeans, his white tee and black leather coat. His hair was still unkept and his ice-blue eyes fell upon the tree's before him. Both of the young man's hands were tucked safely inside his coat pockets, arms bent at the elbows.
A slender pale hand grasped the bend of Rayner's elbow gently. The nails were painted white with bright, yet light, blue at the top. The hand belonged to none other than 15-year old Gabrielle Valerious. Her naturally crimped hair fell down past her shoulders in a beautiful manor, golden and radient in the rising sunlight. However, a shadow stretched about her as a black parasol rested on her shoulder, opened to sheild her from the deadly rays of sun.
A gentle, musical sound eminated from Gabrielle as she gingerly walked through the forest with her brother. Her slender body was covered by wine-red velvet. Long, tight sleeves covered her arms and hung low on her shoulders. The neck was swooped and bared just enough of her collarbone to make her look older than she was. The long gown's skirt pooled around her feet like a puddle of blood. Her lips swere slightly parted, to avoid biting her own lip with her long canines.
" Gabrielle, we should get you home before the sun rises." The young man with a more dark and severe appearence said, looking down at his sister. Both had such a calm look on the face, Gabrielle more calm than her brother, as they walked on. " The sun is rising." He advised her. He stopped, causing Gabrielle to slow to a stop as well. Watching his sister carefully, he felt her cold hand release his elbow as she turned to face him. Tipping the black parasol back gingerly she looked to her brother with such a sweet smile on her face.
" Don't worry brother, we'll get home soon. I just like walking through the woods is all." Her voice had just as thick of an accent as Rayners. The voice of the young was sweet and musical in it's own way. It gave her and air of being pure and innocent, even if most humans thought of her as being a mosnter.

He was still tired. Even though the sun wouldn't kill him, it still bothered him. When his father told him what he was the first thing he did was master the skill. The skill of not being killed by the sunlight. The skill was very hard to master and not many vampires had mastered it, but he did, somehow he mastered it. As the sun was rising he figured he wouldn't really do much of anything today and that he would have his fun tonight.
He decided he was just going to relax, and with that he jumped up into a nearby tree. His black cloak that usually hung down to his boots hung loosely from the tree. The hood of the cloak covered the majority of his face. His black pants had a chain attached that also hung from the tree. "Ah, this is the life." He said to himself as he sat on the large branch of the tree with legs stretched and arms behind his head, he just sat there and took in the sounds of the forest.

Born a pure blood vampire, Gabrielle stood no chance of ever being able to withstand direct contact from the sun. Full on exposure to the very rays of light could cause burns, decaying of her flesh and even death if it were too much. The oldest of the two knew this, having witnessed his sister at the age of three stumble into a ray of light at their home in Romania. He had also witness Gabrielle having to suck about a gallon of blood down to regain her strength and the skin that was burned off her precious body. It took two days to regenerate most of the flesh that had been removed from her small frail looking body. He wouldn't risk it again, always careful to keep her out of the sunlight. It was that very reason that Gabrielle wore the elegant gowns and dresses that she did during the day.
The two had taken on the same positions as before, their steps soft and gentle as they walked through the dying forest. Rayner looked more toward the ground, watching where he stepped, watching where he was going. However, his mind was set at ease due to the sweet sound of his sister's song floating through the early morning air. The way she sang made him want her to continue singing and never have to stop. It was calming, even when he was a child, his little sister would sing for him. The ice blue eyes of Rayner shifted to the side, smiling softly as he watched his sister sing out loud and strong.
" I lose my way, No one cares The words I say, No one hears My life it seems, Is a world of dreams Deep in the night, you'll find me. Dream and you're right behind me. Stay if you will stay We'll dream the night away. "
As she sang, she had such a peaceful smile on her face. There was no way she or her brother would expect that they were now entering Zynthos' line of sight and hearing. The soft, waltzing voice of Gabrielle rose and fell with grace and dignity. There was still that soft hint of her natural accent tracing the words she sang clearly and obviously happy.
" Dreams to dream in the dark of the night When the world goes wrong, I can still make it right I can see so far in my dreams I'll follow my dreams Until they come true. There is a star waiting to guide us Shining inside us when we close our eyes! Come with me, you will see what I mean, There's a world inside no one else ever sees. You will go so far in my dreams, Somewhere in my dreams, Your dreams will come true."
It was the sapphire eyes of Gabrielle that took note of the black cloth of Zynthos' cape. She titled her head curiously to one side and blinked several times in thought. It took Rayner a moment to realize she was looking at something, though she never stopped singing. It kept him calm, it was a good idea that Gabrielle hadn't ceased the singing of a song their mother had once sang to them at least 10 years ago.
" Don't let go, if you stay close to me In my dreams tonight, you will see what I see Dreams to dream, as near as can be Inside you and me, that always come true, Inside you and me, that always come true."
Her voice grew to a high point, and almost echoed through the vast trees, giving the song a slightly eerie feeling. But oh the joy that song gave her, the smile on her face never faltering. However as the song came to a close she and her brother were drawing nearer to Zynthos, curious as to what the cloth was doing in the tree. It was the scent of another vampire which burned at Rayner's nostrils and began to drive him slightly insane. Gabrielle had picked up that scent sometime ago, however dismissed it as it being her brother. How thoughtless of her, she should have known that her brother had a kinder and gentler smell to him.

As he was relaxing in his tree he caught the distinct smell. "There are two of them coming, I can smell them both. One male and one female. I can't tell whether the male is a full or half breed like me but the female is definitely a full vampire." He quietly thought to himself. As they got closer he was hearing the beautiful song being sung by the female. He allowed the song to soothe him and he felt himself drifting off to sleep. He violently shook himself awake knowing how dangerous it would be if he fell asleep. Because he doesn't know these vampires, if they wanted to they could possibly kill him. Instead he allowed him self to remain guarded while relaxing.

" Brother, you're letting the smell bother you too much. He shares at least part of his scent with me, yet you don't mind mine at all?" Questioned Gabrielle with a sweet smile. Rayner looked away as if he were upset with himself, creating a musical giggle to come from his favorite and only little sister. If the half-breed he smelled dared to breathe in Gabrielle's direction he'd rip him apart, his sister was to remain untouched by anyone. It was a rule of his.
" Where are you going?" Rayner asked as Gabrielle released his arm and took hold of her gown to lift it up a slight bit to step over a fallen tree. He took up a pace much faster to catch up with his sister who seemed intent on meeting this new vampire. Typical of Gabrielle. However, how long had it been since he and his sister laid eyes on another vampire-even if this one was a half-breed.
" I want to meet him, Rayner. He should know that he is not alone here in Dotado." Gabrielle smiled over her shoulder as her older brother came to he side several feet from Zynthos' resting place in a tree. She turned again and leaned her head back to look upon the hooded figure. Her smile was unchanging, never faltering for even a moment as she used her free hand to cup the side of her mouth to call up to the man.
The scent of blood, from the animal near by, however caused her to stop in her tracks and grunt softly. The brilliant sapphire eyes of Gabrielle widened in an inhuman manor as her fangs grew longer by the very sent. She stumbled back into her brother letting out a low growling hiss in the direction of the dead animals carcass. Rayner wrapped both of his arms around his sisters face, feeling the sharp pain of the point of teeth as he restrained the child.
" You know, sir, when finished with such things you should cover it with dirt." Rayner calmly said as Gabrielle's nails dug into his arms in attempt to free herself. It had been a long time since Gabrielle had caught a wiff of fresh blood and it was driving her natural instincts up the wall. By now the sharp and pointed fangs of Gabrielle had shrunk back and the small girl's arms fell limp. " Are you calm, sister?" Asked Rayner turning the young teen to face him. He felt her slender arms wrap around his waist as the child hugged him. Child in his eyes at least.
" Yes, brother. Forgive me if I harmed you. I dropped the parasol you bought me as well. Forgive me, dear brother?" The voice was muffled and sounded to be sad and depressed, as if she were upset with herself. Rayner looked to the parasol on the ground and bent forward a little to pick it up, giving it a swift shake to rid it of dirt. Gabrielle turned and took hold of the handle looking to the ground and hiding herself from the stranger.

As the two vampires approached closer he remained alert. He didn't move a muscle and was ready for an attack. "I knew it. The male is a half breed just like me. I can sense he is extremely strong. The full breed is pretty strong as well. Heck I think I am pretty strong but this full breed can probably take me depending on her training. I would probably be lucky to escape with my life." He thought to himself.
Using what he felt was better judgment when he sensed them at their closest he slowly stood up and jumped out of the tree. The hood of his cloak covering his eyes, he looked around. He knew exactly where the two new vampires were hiding and slowly walked away from where they were. He didn't want a fight. He just wanted to be alone. His solitude is something that he thoroughly enjoyed.

" How rude, he's leaving." Sighed Rayner as his sister leaned herself on a tree, in a place whwre the wind wouldn't cause the sent of blood to drift towards her. HE removed his leather jacket and rested it on a branch. With in seconds a large vulture-sized bat flew through the air and landed before Zynthos. In a puff of dark gray smoke, Rayner stood up as if he had been kneeling and ran a hand through his hair.
" Now, that was very rude of you. Are you afraid of something? That we might attack you? If that is what you fear, you shouldn't. I'd only hurt you if you try and hurt my beloved sister. She was merely trying to talk to you, let you know your not the only vampire. Yet, you were rude enough to run away." Rayner said, his voice simple and calm, words drenched with that ever amazing accent (at least to me it is ).
" Brother!" The voice behind Zynthos was firm as a crowd of bats scattered from around where Gabrielle now stood. Her parasol in hand she opened it quickly and shrouded her face and shoulders in shadow once more. " You might scare him, which is not what I had intended. I merely felt like greeting a fellow vampire."
" You and I both know that he isn't on the same level as you, a pure blood." " Rayner!" Her voice twisted a little with a hissing growl intwined. That same shroud of bats occured as Gabrielle shifted into her hawk-sixed batself shrouded by the bats which blocked out the sun. She landed, shifted back to her trueself and stood before her brother with a dangerous look upon her face. " You are degrading yourself by saying that, dear brother. You know I don't think like those stuck up monsters. Half-Breeds and Pure Born are the same in my eyes." The child reached a cold, pale hand out and brushed it lovingly along her brothers face before turning and looking upon Zynthos.
" Why did you flee when we drew near? Was it my sudden inability to control my instincts? If so, I appologise deeply. You see, fresh blood tends to do that to someone who is raised off blood donated and carried in packages." Gabrielle explained softly, her brother silent as he stood behind her. He looked as if he were a small boy that was scolded by his mother and told to sit in the corner. It was as if she had simple turned off his ability to speak, which wasn't the case.

"I didn't exactly run, I simply walked." He said in a calm voice. "I am not afraid of getting attacked, I am simply in no mood to fight. I have no reason to hurt your sister, not like i can do much against a pure blood anyway and you know it. Half breeds are nowhere near the level." He further explained, his tone still calm.
"Honestly if you just wanted to talk you could have just walked up to me and introduced yourself instead of sneaking up on me the way you did." He turned to the pure blood as she spoke, and replied, "It was not your instincts, as I know what its like to feed off fresh blood and packaged blood. Fresh blood is always better." He said with a smile and turned back to face the male.
"Well I can see that you have no intentions of harming me so I suppose the least I can do is introduce my self. I am Zynthos Azere." He said as he extended his hand.

" You really want to annoy my sister." Sighed Rayner, shaking his head. Had that guy not been paying attention? Rayner was just scolded for saying the exact same thing and there this guy goes, saying things about levels and the like. Oh, he could see that Gabrielle was beginning to loose that ever calm expression. When the hand was offered out, Rayner didn't make a move to take it, nor to even speak. At least, not yet.
" What is wrong with people these days? Does the quality of our blood really make a difference? Hmph, sometimes I wonder why I bother with trying to be civilized. I don't like killing things for blood, so I drink the blood that is donated. I like fighting, so I tend to act as a peacekeeper. I hate being told I'm at a higher level than someone else, and thus scold who ever says it yet someone else says the same thing." Gabrielle heaved a heavy sigh and took Zynthos' hand gingerly with her cold and pale one. It was a brief action however, as she drew her hand away almost as soon as she took hold of his and proceeded to smile as best she could. She still was fighting to have complete control after the brief blood-rage she had entered. " I am Gabrielle Valerious and this is my beloved Brother Rayner." The girl explained, motioning to her brother briefly.
" Hello." Rayner said simply, shaking Zynthos' hand quickly before stuffing his hands into his pockets. " So, why are you wandering the forest? We live near here and take strolls at night, for her sake. But, what is yours? Why do you happen to be here in Dotado?" Questioned Rayner calmly as he leaned upon a tree.

As he heard her speak, he could tell she was getting upset. Even though he knew he was strong, he also knew deep down that the pure bloods would always be stronger. No matter how strong he can get, there was nothing he could do.
"Nice to meet you Rayner and Gabrielle." Zynthos said with a smile. "In answer to your question, I am a nomad, a wanderer. I left home 7 years ago and have yet to settle down in one particular place. I have been roaming the land for 7 years sleeping where ever i felt which was usually in a tree. I got to this forest yesterday and slept in the tree that I was sitting in." Zynthos explained.
Looking up he can see the sun starting to rise, and knowing how Gabrielle would react, he took off his cloak, revealing his dark brown eyes and short spiked black hair. He looked at Gabrielle and tossed the cloak to her and said, "Here put this on and wrap it around your entire body, it will help protect you from the sun. I know it doesn't look like much, but trust me it will work, also take these." Zynthos said as he also tossed her a pair of sunglasses. "These are a special pair of sunglasses, they will protect your eyes to the point where you will think it was night." Zynthos calmly explained.

" Thank you for your concern, sir but this is no ordinary parasol I hold above my head. My dear brother bought it for me and it was blessed by a old vampiric wizard who granted the parasol an ability to cast UV-repeling shadows across my entire body. No harm will come of me." Gabrielle smiled sweetly, feeling slightly warm from the show of care. As the rays of light touched the crimson dress, nothing seemed to happen but that. The parasol's top seemed to grow long tenderils of gauze-like fabric which fell around her to about her waist (as the dress covered the rest of her beautifully) to cast gentle shadows about her. It protected her nicely. With ease the girl allowed her brother to remove the cloack and glasses from her arms, as leaving the safety of such gauze-like shadows would be dangerous,
" I thank you for your concern for my sister as well." Rayner spoke, holding Zynthos' cloak and sunglasses out. He appeared to have grown less defensive and reclusive, probably due to the fact the stranger was actually showing some emotions and attempting to care for the younger of the lot. " She's been out like this many times before and the people of Dotado have all but offered her a rest inside their homes or shops, to help get her out of the sun. These people are far more accepting of us than those in Romania, who see us as monsterous and foul beings." Rayner explained, still waiting for his fellow half-breed to take the cloak.
" For example, the Van Helsing family. Always hunting our family even when we haven't had fresh blood in over 3 centuries. They're truly barbric." Sighed Gabrielle, almost musically. It seemed everything about the young girl was elegant, process, and well placed. Her voice, with it's thick accent, even held a rythmic beat to it that flowed from her lips.
Rayner nodded in response to his sisters words, having encounter some of the Van Helsing family once in Finland while travelling abroad once. It had been a good thing he was a half blood, otherwise Rayner would have surely been destroyed. He had witnessed them push women to the wall if they carried a parasol above them to shade them from the hot sun, and call them foul things or force their lips apart to search for fangs. It hadn't been a fun trip at all.
OoC|| Finland is a lot like London I hear, a very rainy a drab place. Yet some how still very beautiful.

Zynthos took his cloak and sunglasses back with a smile knowing what a parasols purpose was though before today he didn't know what one looked like. He payed very close attention to what Rayner and Gabrielle were saying especially the part of the Van Helsing family, having encountered a few members himself in the past 7 years he knew how barbaric they could be. Although he tried being low key and not letting them know who he was, he was able to get away but not before tasting their blood and said, "Yes, the Van Helsing family is quite troublesome as I too have had more than one encounter with them. If you have never tasted their blood let me tell you from experience, I found it very dull. No real taste to it whatsoever."
