Hollie walked around the marketplace with her little sister. It seemed cool enough. Hollie never really liked malls, and this seemed to be Dotado's version of it. However, it was quaint enough, without chain stores spilling out of it. Plus, this didn't only sell clothes, it sold food, toothpaste, baby powder...anything that needed to be bought was bought here. However, they were not on errands for their parents. They were just shopping. Toys, music players, phones, organizers, clothes, jewelery, and a handful of impulse-buy items.
Right now, Hollie and Myora were in a clothes section. A new top wouldn't hurt. But Hollie didn't want any designer stuff, those clothes that everyone was wearing. She wanted something normal. Logo-less, maybe, or a funny saying, a slogan that spoke to her beliefs, but not something stupid, like a shirt that said "Death to all Posers!" that was part of a line belonging to the lead singer of a poser band. She flicked through a few clothing racks and landed on a green shirt. It didn't have anything on it. Hollie took it out and inspected it in and out. Nothing. Just a "Made in USA" label, with "machine wash, tumble dry, 100% cotton" written after it. A choir of angels sang out. It wasn't ugly. In fact, it was cool. Overall, it was pretty awesome.
She kept it on her arms, and asked her little sister if she wanted anything from this store. She looked up once she was done and picked a pair of jeans from a pants rack higher up. She returned her gaze to her sister. "Anything you want, Myo. Go ahead and pick one." She moved some hair out of her face, while another tendril of hair brought down some tights.

Myora, obviously, was with her sister shopping. The younger of the two was actually having more fun than she thought she would. Though the shirt her sister had flown by that said something about Death to Posers, made her snort with laughter before going back to parusing. The small girl was looking for something that screamed 'Myora' to her. And so far she had found nothing. Why? Because little Miss Myora was into the 'Lolita', Doll-Dress type clothing. What would strike the small childs fancy would be something cute with adorable designs on it.
" I can't find anything Hol-Hol." Sighed the small child as she gave a bouncy skip to land beside her older sister. She looked up and shrugged her small thin shoulders before looking about a few more times. Still, nothing had caught her eyes as she looked back to Hollie. And with another shrug the small and slender figure of 10-year old Myora left the small store and looked both up and down the lane.
Already today Myora had bought herself another bonet and some new shiny black buckle shoes. She carried them in a small bag that was clasped in her right hand as she turned back to face her sister. There, by the door, the small figure waited for her chaperone and sibling topay for the goods.

"Alright, then, Myo." Hollie approached the paying counter with the thought of how much Myo sounded like Mijo. She handed the clerk a credit card that belonged to her parents. They were allowed to buy whatever today, just as long as common sense was used. The purchase was completed in a matter of seconds, and Hollie caught up with her sister.
"I was hoping they'd have something you liked, but I guess my expectations were too high, huh?" Hollie said to Myora. "Nothing even similar. Maybe in a wedding shop we could find some cool flower girl gowns..." Hollie was half serious, but thought that it sounded half stupid. She put the bag from the store into a giant bag she had saved from another shopping trip, when she went back-to-school shopping one year.
She looked around the area as she realized the original reason she went into the previous store was to buy a shirt, and she came out with two other things. She sighed. "Well, that's pretty much it for my clothing...Myora, how about we head on out of this 'district' and if we see anything good for you on the way out, we'll get it, alright?"

" Okay. I'm fine with that. Let's go." It was true that shopping for Myora was alittle on the difficult. The little girl had her mind set on looking like a doll and pulled it off wonderfully with her china-doll toned skin. She smiled a little began to head in the direction the hadn't been to yet, hoping it would lead them out of the district. However, a ten year old girl couldn't be all that sure, now could she?
Myora would look into the windows of stores she would pass by. Many had dresses she would wear if they were in her size. However they were anywhere from 4-10 sizes too big and she wasn't in the mood to fix anything. But, she was sure, almost positive that somewhere along the way she would come across something in her size that she would want.

Hollie smiled at her sister, and led her through a throng of people on the sidewalk, careful not to lose her. Crime was considerably low in Dotado, but Hollie couldn't risk letting Myora out of her sight for an instant. The people didn't seem to care that other people were coming through. They never did. Come to think of it, we don't either. Just goes to show.
Hollie spotted a wedding clothing store on the other side of the street. A few tuxedo mannequins and bridal dress mannequins stood linking arms in the two large front windows. However, it probably had things in Myora's size. Hollie pointed it out to her through the people. "Do you see that store across the street, Myo? I think we should take a look." Hollie led the way across the street, taking advantage of a momentary lack of traffic. Hollie's hair waved around indiscriminantly. She went inside.
It was filled with dresses on one side, from teddy-bear sized to 6 ft tall mannequins. The other side contained tuxedos, with the same range. "Huh!" said Hollie out loud. "I think they can accomodate us. Let's see if some of it isn't crap..."

Nick shuddered as he walked into a wedding store. He had absolutely no idea why he came here. Maybe he just wanted to browse. Or maybe he hoped the store would provide some warmth, but of course it doesn't, seeing as most stores are set at practically freezing temperatures. Shivering and rubbing his arms for warmth, he decided to browse through the tuxedos, since he had nothing better to do today.
Exhaling an icy breath, he walked by what seemed like two sisters, hoping that his cold didn't spread to them, and so he hurried by. Moving one gloved hand off his arm, Nick ran a hand over a black tuxedo, staring at it for a second. What made you love someone so much as to marry them? Was it a pschological need for that person? A physical need? What? Nick wouldn't know. For so long he's been alone...
Nick glanced behind him at the sisters. How lucky of the older one, to still know her younger sister and to have her in her life. Envious, Nick continued to watch them for a second, then turned his head. His own sister was somewhere out in the world, not knowing anything about Nick, wondering if she would ever see him again. Nick was thinking the same thing. Moving his hand back to his arm, he rubbed his arm for a second, before turning and browsing some more throughout the store.

" Too pink...Really ugly. To flashy. Not enough laace. This could do with something more colorful." The little girl rummaged through dress after dress, after dress. She would add a little comment on the ones that didn't suite her preference and nod her head and remain silent to those that totally caugh ther eye. However, she stopped dead before a black dress that would come to her knees. It had a slightly puff out skirt and white lace trim around the bottom hem. The sleves were tanktops with white lace around the edges and she smiled.
" Hol-Hol. This is a fantastic dress. Can I try it on?" She asked, looking with hope at her sister as she pulled the dress and walked towards the dressing room. She smiled pleasently at Nick. " Hello." She said rather softly as a nice girl would and walked around him to the back room. There she worked on changing into the dress she had found, think that it would look just dandy on her.

Hollie glanced around the shop as Myora was looking for a good dress, chuckling slightly at her complaints. Myora was actually a smart girl for her age, or so it seemed to Hollie. Her eyes landed on the other person that walked by them. He was staring. Staring in hate, staring in jealousy. Hollie looked away quickly but casually, and returned her gaze to his a few seconds later. He stopped looking. Hollie was a bit more tense. Her hair clung to her back.
" Hol-Hol. This is a fantastic dress. Can I try it on?" asked Myora. Hollie smiled and nodded. "Of course you can." Myora left for the dressing room, passed the boy, and greeted him. Hollie then looked at the boy and approached him. "So." she said, in angry and scared curiosity. "Who are you? And why were you staring?" Hollie hoped to put him in his place, so he would leave her and Myora alone. It usually worked with other people.

Nick turned his head and replied icily, "Only staring out of envy." He turned his attention back to the tuxedos. The girl must of been paranoid or something. Thinking Nick was gonna hurt her or her sister. Which of course, Nick wouldn't do to anyone. Letting out another icy breath, he attempted to ignore the girl, but failed. Instead, he turned fully around to face her and crossed his arms as well.
"I'm Nick. I was watching," he said, insulted by her use of the word 'staring', "because I had a little sister once too, though now I don't know where she is. Like I said, I was watching because I was envious that you still had your sister." Uncrossing his arms, Nick seemed to tower over her as he waited for her response.

Myora leaned on the wall of the dressing room. She had already undressed and redressed in the outfit she had just found but was listening to Nick and her sister's conversation. Poor guy, lost his little sister. I'd have been watching as well. Thought the small child as she pushed off the wall, looked herself in the mirror and nodded her head firmly. She'd leave now and act as if she hadn't been listening at all. Eavesdropping was a no-no in modren society.
Pushing up the door she walked out and twirled, allowing the skirt to puff up a little. She smiled and walked over to Hollie and Nick, more Hollie than Nick. " What do you think? Should we get it?" She asked casually spinning slowly this time to give her sibling a 360 view of the outfit. " I like it. I think I'd just have to maybe change the lace around the straps though...They itch the underarms...." Mutter the girl as she scratched at the lace.

Hollie stopped glaring at Nick. The only problem Hollie had with him was that he was right. Hollie had gotten defensive, and then taken it too far...again. She tried to defend herself from her own accusations, but truly, it was all her fault. And through Nick, she was glaring at herself. She looked away. "I'm sorry, I didn't know..." she sighed. "My apologies." Ugh, how embarassing. She'd have to teach herself not to do that.
Soon her sister came back. "Sure you can buy it, Myora. Now get yourself changed out of it so we can buy it, kay?" Hollie said sweetly, then coughed, still awkward about Nick. Ooh...you've really screwed up this time. Damn assumptions. Hollie's hair fell straight.

Nick watched them quietly for a second, then slowly shook his head and smiled slightly. "No problem. I'd be freaked out too if some random guy was watching me." Chuckling lightly, Nick observed the girl showing off the dress. "Looks like a handful." He observed jokingly, shrugging. This was a little awkward, he could tell, for the girl who had accused him of "staring". Shivering suddenly, Nick rubbed his gloved hands together quickly to cause some friction, and looked over at the girl. "I'm Nick, by the way."

" Hmmm. Well, I think I want it so." Off she skipped and twirled disapeparing itn othe dressing room where once more Myora remained out of sight. She had to unzip, unbutton and undo so many different catches that it would tak her five minutes just to get it off and on. And by the time she had it off, she was slightly flustered.
" I should really pick a fashion that isn't so detailed." Sighed the girl who now stood in a white tanktop undershirt, and regular panties. She grabbed her long white gown from the hook she had rested it on and stepped into it, sliding her arms into their proper sleeves. The back zipper went all the way and she managed just fine with getting it to the middle of her back. With a sigh she opened the curtain and looked at the clerk.
" Could you just repeat after me for a moment?" She asked with a gentle smile. The man raised a brow and nodded slowly as if he were wary of something. " Say; I wish Myora was back in her white dress with the zipper fully zipped, all the buttons and catches in place and her bonet set perfectly atop her head." The girl said rather bluntly. He looked at her and hesitated for a moment before saying it as she had. With a smile she disappeared behind the curtain and poked her nose, then the mirror and whispered the word 'granted'. Her clothing soared about her, dressed her, fixed itself into proper state of being and she nodded.
" Perfect." She said, looking at her self in the mirror. Ah, such long hair. She had thought about it many times. Getting her hair cut shorter, that is. However everytime she decided other wise and went with a different course of action...leaving it be it's normal natural teal-ish self.

"Yeah, she does look like one," said Hollie, laughing a little. "But the only thing I have a hard time with is shopping for her." Hollie had taken notes of certain dresses Myora had thrown away and her comments so that Hollie wouldn't mess up buying her a birthday present of something. "Nice to meet you, Nick, I'm Hollie." She extended a hand towards him. In shaking it, she would be surprised at the low temperature of Nick's hands.
"So...what's your power?" asked Hollie. "Mine's hair control." Her hair grew long and zoomed towards one of the mannquins with a head. "Grar!" she said in fake anger as she strangled it with two large tentacle-like masses of hair. She heard a little crack, so she zoomed her hair back. The mannequin wasn't mortally wounded as such, but Hollie knew she should stop. Her hair changed colours a few times. "Whatever can happen to hair, I can make mine do it."

Nick shyly shook Hollie's hand, self-concious about his cold hands. Pulling his hand back quickly, he coughed lightly. He watched in amusement as Hollie's hair suddenly attacked a mannequin, then laughed. "That's some power." He laughed, watching as her hair changed different colors.
"But what's my power? Hm... How do I explain it..." Nick placed his finger to his chin in mock thought, then sighed, an icy breath. Swirling his "thought" finger, Nick made the temperature around the two fall alarmingly, now close to freezing temperatures. "Sheesh!" He exclaimed, still pretending to be ignorant. "These people need to turn the heat up." He shivered noticeably, exhaling another one of his icy breathes.
