A gentle hand pulled open the heavy door to the library as it's owner pulled herself and her rounded mid-section into the room. The smell of fresh and clean paper filled the air almost instantly and she smiled softly. Julianna Odette wasn't the same as she used to be. She wouldn't have stepped foot in a library. There had been a time when she had people that did that for her. Not anymore, that was over and she was now used to this smell.
" Morning." She said kindly to the librarian as she stepped around the man desk. A long white sun dress fell to her knees, covering her 6-month pregnent belly. A hand gently massaged the top of it absent mindedly as hazel eyes wandered from shelf to shelf. Her other hand had it's index running the length of the spins of any book she found of interest.
Stopping here and there she would pull out a book and read the back cover, nod her head and slide it back into place. After a while she had pulled two books. One was fairly thick and looked more like a novel, while the other was a magazine. National Geographic to be exact with an article about panthers, her favorite animal. She found herself a comfortable seat, and slowly sank into it. " Oooh." She heaved a sigh as she sat and air escaped the cushion.
" This belly can be a hassle." Sighed the woman as she pulled her magazine up and began to flip through the glossy pages.

A firm grasp handled the door to the library and it opend with ease as an asian man walked in and took a second to see where everything was. His mission that sent him to the library was to find a few books on martial arts and japanese Kyudo. Being an expert at Kyudo, there was always something new to learn. A new technique or a skill, maybe even a new type of arrow to use. He looked around at the barren quiet place and walked off to find what he was looking for.
Being a teacher was no big deal for him, but starting off at a new school would break him easily, but he had patients and a stern voice. He wasn't going to be a teacher if he couldn't handle stress. Not noticing the librarian, he walked off in the first direction and headed to the area where he knew the books would be. His long black hair was placed in a low ponytail so it would stay out of his eye's, and he wore his traditional clothes. A silky type of shirt was on his back with imprints of dragons and his pants were long and very flexible. His eye's finally caught a book, 'Kyudo for beginners'. He picked up the book and looked at it interestingly. "Well, these kids need to learn to be steady with their hands and with their minds. That's the first thing they'll need to do. Now to find somewhere to sit for a moment." His words were almost below a whisper as he saw a woman sitting at a table reading a magazine and the belly that held something dear. He cleared his throat as he spoke. "Mind If I sit here?" He asked as he placed a hand on the chair infront of her, as a quiet smile appeared on his face.

Hazel eyes moved about from the glossy pages to Seiko. She looked at the chair briefly before returning her gaze to the handsome man before her. " Nn, Go right a head." She nodded and smiled back before diverting her eyes to her magazine again. Her hand continued it's soothing motion of her rounded torso as she kept a pleasent look upon her face. There was no glint of gold from a wedding ring on that hand or either of them. Not even a hint of jewelry on her actually. Just that simple white sundress and the comfortable sandles she had slipped her feet into. Comfort was key these days.
She jumped a little, feeling her unborn child kick at her side. Her eyes widdened and she placed her hand gently on the spot. " Whoa there." She chuckled looking down at her stomach as if she saw the face of her child looking back at her. Her eyes looked up to Seiko with a smile on her face. " It's kicking." She laughed, still very amazed at that odd feeling of something inside her pushing on her body.
Her hand returned to it's massaging of the dear belly and it's passenger, A smile still on Julianna's face. She readjusted her magazine on the table and looked back to the glossy pages casually reading about her favorite big cat. Oh what she wouldn't give for a rocking chair right then and there. Rocking back and forth, rubbing her stomach, reading her magazine, and hell the extremely attractive gentlemen that had graced her with his pressence could stay in the picture.
Natsu didn't hold a candle to this guys looks. Amazing. One perfect word that describs him. He appears to be of asain decent. How wonderful, not everyday I run into a fellow asain. Thought Julianna pleasently. Her heart agreed with her mind entirely on all aspects of said thoughts.

Seiko looked at the woman in front of him and saw her reaction of her face to the childs movment. He couldn't help but smile at her, his eye's finally able to turn back to his book.
The technique of kyudo is one known for centurie. To master this skill... his eye's diverted back to the woman seenig her rub her stomach sub-consciously but know that she was pregnant, he knew she'd be married or promised to someone.
"Sorry, to bother you again, but I was wondering... "He paused a moment waiting until her attention had turned back to him. "but.... do you know of any where to go to grab some good food around here?" He asked laying his book down finally, leaning back in his chair. His eye's going over her fair complextion. "I've just arrived in town for a teaching job so, I havn't really got to explore the town for the good spots and stuff..."
He gave her a slight grin, looking at her hand he noticed that the peice of jewelry that meant being promised or devoted to someone, wasn't on that finger of choise. He let his eye's look at the book he picked out then back at her. Well, I guess she might not be married, but she looks like she would have someone in her life... but if she didn't.... Humm... That is strange, but if she's not, might she be willing to have lunch with me? Wonder is she's even hungry? What am I saying... I mean, not being mean, but she is pregnant... of course she's gotta be hungry. He let a smile and a chuckle leave his lips thinking about the situation. He stared at her a moment before being able to tear his eye's off her face even for a moment. "

" Bother me? Of course you aren't." Laughed Julianna softly as she closed the magazine having finished her article. Watching him examine both her stomach and hands she smiled only a little bigger and more welcoming than before. Who wouldn't smile when a handsome man such as Seiko was looking at you? If you didn't you were merely insane in the eyes of Julianna. She thought for a second; Hmm, good place to eat.
" I would have to say the diner is my favorite place. It's by the market place and most everyone here knows how to get there, so you wouldn't need to worry about getting lost." Was her reply as Julianna nodded her head. The idea of him working at the same school slammed her hard in the head. She hadn't even thought about that for a second and just realized that he would be a teacher at the school she was to work at as well.
" You're teaching at the school? I'm going to be a secratary for the main office when it opens." Her voice showed the excitement that she felt. " My name is Julianna Odette." She introduced, holding out the hand that wasn't preoccupied with rubbing her stomach. " Pleasure to meet you."
Well, at least there is one good thing about working at the school. Not only will I have a means of earning money, but I'll also have a friend from before the begining of the school year. Wonderful. The fact he is severely handsome is a plus. But, I doubt he isn't married. She hadn't even thought of examining his hands for a golden ring or any other forms of 'ownership' a woman might have made him wear. The idea never even occured to her.

Seiko Hachi could have swore that she was surprised at his teaching at the school, but he was no more surprised than she was. It was amazing how small the world seemed to be when two people meet for a common cause of reading at a library. Coincidence? Maybe...
"The diner sounds interesting, but I still feel as if being in a new area, even the most simple of places would be hard to find... so, I'd hate to get lost!" He let out a small manly chuckel and leaned up, seeing her talk about the school. "Well, school mates, huh? Well, I'll be teaching powers mastery. I'm guessing it's a new class or something, but, anyways, back to the diner part. Are you hungry? Might I have the pleasure of taking my fellow teacher out to lunch, after all... it's the least I could do for interrupting your reading time?" He asked taking her hand to the introduction. He felt her slightly cold hand in his warm hand, feeling the softness of the flesh against his. "That is... unless, you think your husband would have something to say about that?" He added as reassurance on his part, so he wouldn't get in a brawl with another man.

" Husband?" She looked confused at this. Why would he say anything about a husband? Julianna then understood. She was pregnent and most would assume her married or dating someone as that was generally a common thing. So she brushed aside her confusion and shook her head. " No, no. No husband, boyfriend or the like. Just me." She assured him as she felt the warmth of his hand.
" Dear man, you should know a woman with child is most always hungry. So, accompanying you would be no big problem for me. Though getting out of this chair may create an issue." Laughed the woman as she shrugged. She took hold of her book she had grabbed earlier. A novel she had been interested in reading, the name of which not found on the front.
" However, my co-worker, I didn't catch your name." Added Julianna as she manuvered about to stand from the chair. " I need to know your name so I might be able to address my company and lead you properly to the diner." Her coy remark was fallowed by a smile as she pushed her chair back away from the table. Sliding her feet back into her sandles, Julianna decided that the librarian didn't need to know she had taken them off at all.

"Oh, dear... I"m sorry... i didn't mean it in a bad way.. at all." He said seeing her reaction to his accusations. A mental smile appeared to him hearing her say that she wasn't married or promised to anyone. How lucky was he to meet someone so great, a fellow teacher, but she was pregnant. Wouldn't that cause some trouble in getting to know her any better? With a mental sigh, he figured he best not try to get to close to her just in case, but who said he still couldn't try?
"Well, I for one, can't think of one reason you should be alone, but things do happen." He said to her as he took his hand back and got up from his chair watching her try to do the same. "Mr. Hachi, or Sei-ha... Well, at least that's what the students will call me." He grinned to her and held out a hand to help her stand. "Well, that's the reason I asked for company, and maybe we could talk about the school, or something more interesting perhaps?"

" Well, Mr. Hachi...Things do, indeed, happen. In my case it was a long-term boyfriend deciding a girlfriend that wasn't pregnent was more attractive." Laughed the woman as if it were no sensitive subject. And, for Julianna, it wasn't. Natsu had been a fool, for he wasn't going to be taken back for leaving her. Nor would he have anything to do with the child that he abandon as well. Julianna was sure her grandfather would get the child is she were to die. She would rather it be looked after by the ex-yakuza than a man who can't own up to the fact he had a hand in getting someone pregnent.
" Though school would be a good topic, I'm sure there are far more interesting things. Don't you agree?" She asked, gently taking his helping hand and pulling herself to a standing position. " Thank you." Added the woman as she grabbed her book and magazine. She slide the magazine into place rather hastily and walked herself to the librarian to check out the book.
Upon filling out what was needed and the such she turned back to Seiko and smiled. " Well, I hope you get along with your students. I'm sure with the girls you will be a favorite, while many of the boys might feel some form of envy. Knowing my luck I'll be the secrtary and homeroom teacher the students think they can trick. Hm, I'd like to see them try." The last sentence had been more to herself, as she thought back to what she used to do to tricksters and people who tried to pull a fast one on her. Ah, those had been the days.
The days the Hito Yakuza had still been around were over, however. Though she knew where everyone of the old members were and still kept in contact with them. Especially the select few that had decided to fallow her and Natsu to America. Ah, well, that seems to happen when you have watched someone grow up. You want to make sure they are looked after and won't trust anyone but yourself and peforming such a task.

Seiko, immediatly realized his error in his name, totally loosing track of his mind. He mentally shook his head knowing that her calling hm Mr. Hachi was a wrong way to go for a first time meeting. "Heh, Sorry about that.. Mr. Hachi is the students name for me. My mind slipped I'm sorry. You can call me Seiko. Much more formal!" He intruded her sentence, then let her finish. "... but it seems to me that, anyone who would abandon a woman that is withchilded, is someone who needs a good dose of reality. I'm guessing that he just don't have his priorities in the right place and I know that he doesn't deserve you!"
He walked with her and did the same to check out the book he had. Using a few pages for the beginning of the classes would start the students off in a good direction. STarting a powers class with an archery class. Sure it seemed more like a gym activity, but he had a point to go with it. "Thank you... " The words were directed to the librarian as he took the book with him and looked back at Julianna. "You know.. I don't think that I have even asked your name. My manner's really are lacking today, and usually that is not a think I forget often. Raised in a family that honors tradition and respect, I should have known better!" He said to her opening the door to head to their car's.
"Well, I hope that all the students listen and abide by the rules with me, if not, then I must find a technique to get them all to work." He said taking note of the compliment from her. He didn't want to make the compliment anything more than what it was. "Lets see... Do you want to take my car and let me drive, or should I let you drive and direct the way?" Seiko asked looking at the Vehichles. He didn't know whether or not she would feel comfortable driving with a strange man that she barely even knew.
(Mousie, If you make the diner post, just add this at teh first... to compensate for the lack of post here.. Okay?)
