Plot?

Alright. I have gone through every scenario in my head that I could possibly think of. Ones I thought were cool, and ones I thought were stupid, and ones maybe even I couldnt think of. Every one of them wouldnt work. For one reason or the other. I cannot think of any more. I will not. I cannot do this on my own. I need help and I will admit it if not shout it at everyone. I NEED HELP WITH THIS. I was told people were getting bored with the site, I dont blame them, there is nothing to talk about. No upcoming battles or storylines or excitement, but everything I think of has a flaw. So, I leave it to you. What do you want this site to come up with? What do you want to rp?

I like espionage, but I can't think of anything involving it. Except like....government or gifted vs. gifted crap. War. Same old stuff. That, or we could get another proboard that's good, and have the two schools best gifteds participate in a big fight here. Or underground gifted fighting. Stuff like that.

Well, we have people that do not support fighting..and the espionage kinda came into play there too.. so it was at a standstill. But like I said, I would like everyones opinion, I am making this an announcement for everyone to post on..

Maybe just something for enjoyment, like the singing contest. We get people to interview their characters, then they sing a song, made up or from a real band, that the judges thinks connects to their personality, or shares the thoughts that were given in the interview. But the interviers could interview friends or something so the real character can't lie to sing a song that matches perfectly. I don't know. Throwing in ideas.

Em...*put on thinking helmet* I think there should be a cute green dude with giant sticky ball that...wait...*turns off Katamari Damacy Theme* Maybe Dotado could split! Into two groups (this idea borrowed from a site I used to rp on...*sniffs* I MISS GIFTED OR CURSED DOT PROBOARDS SOMETHING DOT COM!!!!) ! And One of thr groups could be trying to make friends with the normal people, make peace and all that, and the other could be the haters. You know the ones. A life for an eye sort of thing. "They waged wars and killed my friends, so EVERYONE MUST BE TORTURED AND STUFFS". A little more complicated than that, but you get the idea. Anywho, the hippies would be called "Peace", or "Amity", or something, and the angries would be called the "Conflict", or the "Revolt", or something like THAT.

Whaddaya think? Eh? Eh?

That could work cakey, but I think things could be expanded more.

We could start up like, factions. people who have different types of powers join up for reasons

you could have the:

Bios: people who's powers effect their biological structure(like animal parts, or other non-magival powers)

Demons: People who's powers come off of a dark or demonic magic source

Monks: People who's powers come from a neutral source of magical power. Non-demonic, nor angelic.

Angels: People who get their powers from a somewhat better than neutral source. People with powers that target demonics, or, or are more pure.

Freelances: Those who's powers fall into none of the categories above.

And we could make all a topic, and have all of these as sub boards. Then. we could develop an MO for each faction. For example, each would have a goal, and a different system of running things.

The demons could be anarchists(just coming up with something for an example).

Anyway this would allow people to form alliances between groups, create enemies, and eventually advance into full out war.

Aldo it could be fun, people could show support for their team, we could get color for all of them, a flag. It could be fun. Tell me what you think

okay so i thought about slightly more and I figure it work out nicely.

Bios: Function on a system of social darwinism(survival of the fitist, strongest leads them.)Objective: Conquer the normals.

Demons: Function on a system of Tyranny(leader to be decided if this works out.)Objective: Wipe out any threats to them, mainly the angels

Monks: Function on a system with no diffined leader, they consult a cabinet of members as opposed to one person. Objective: None tend to remain neutral.

Angels: Function on a system of roman democracy( a system that seems clean enough to an outside eye, but is in actually one of the most dirty politics)Objective: Wipe out threats to others, mainly the demons

Freelances: No concrete system of leadership, divided in to smaller "tribes" of two or three people. The have one man who leads them that functions more as an agent, he rents out the tribes to other teams to use if they need them, like mercenaries. Each tribe specializes in something, such as stealth, strength, etc...

These are just first run thoughts, but I think that it could work out nicely. If no one wants to step up, we could probably make the leaders NPCs, but I think people for the most part can volunteer a character or make one(the Monk council could count as one character, which could be interesting to play for)

Look, If you have those as plots, I won't take any part in them. It seems to me the only "plots" people can come up with are wars, division of people, world domination with a revolution, and other such things. They are all overused and overated. I'm a fan of originality. If you want a plot make it something you don't see very often. Not something you'll probably see wherever you go.

You don't see me making anything up because I don't need a plot to roleplay. All I need is a setting, and the scenery to make some good posts and stay interested.

Besides the idea of Dotado splitting is kind of pointless. Did we not say already that the town itself sticks together and works as a group to keep their freedom and peace? I thought that was in the storyline...Or am I imagaining that.

Eh, whatever. Just keep in mind that war is one of my most hated things, and I generally refuse to roleplay them. This does not mean that all plots involving war or the division of people are shot down. It merely means that I will most likely have NOTHING to do with those roleplays. Nor will any[/u] of my characters.

Let me explain this a little more thuroughly, this could mean a war, however not nesaarily.

The idea was to have people somewhat more factioned. their groups made to allow people to be around others who have similar beliefs. The objectives are there only if someone wants to start a war-like plot. However otherwise just people being inside of the groups can start plots. Alliances forming, trying to dismantle another one from the inside out. a political thing

really these groups can go however anyone wants them to, each person putting input into a group could morph it into something completely different, fuse them together even. really it's just putting things out like small countries, which would allow new types of bonds to form between characters

I must say: Ven brings up some good ideas. Division brings static between the characters. Static drives action. If all of our characters get along perfectly, then nothing will ever happen on Dotado. He really does have a very good idea on how we can make things happen here. It needn't mean war, but it will bring on a good deal of happenings, philosophical conversations, and even conflict for the players who feel comfortable with it.

You can divide them, give them a group, do whatever you please. I merely said that I would not have anything to do with such things. I am sick of groups, cliques, and 'brotherhoods'. They annoy the hell out of me. We have about a million and ten of them at my current school. All of which seem to look down upon others. Personal experience is what drives me to refuse to take action in such plots.

Ven, those are good ideas, but they're barely even based off mine. So, naturally, I hate them. XP Joking. But they're a little specific, you know? The demons/angels etc wouldn't have any, but the bios and freelances would have 50 billion. Other than that, GREAT.

Mouse-chan! I agree with you a little, but because you're tired of "cliques" etc you won't divide into political groups? I agree that "fraternities" and cliques are stupid as hell, with only shopping and football holding them together, but this is a little different. No offence, but do you know what I mean?

Eh. I'm just annoyed with the wars because it usually gets too complicated, nobody plays their right parts, and last time we didn't even complete it. I'm not sure if I would have my characters participate in the groups, each because of their own reasons. But we sorta do it already. We usally have all our characters come together, strike up good rps, learn something along the way, and etc, etc. So doing this plot would probably only probably split up our characters. Do whatever you want though. Two people can't stop the whole board from doing a plot they want. Just know I won't be participating in the brotherhood, political groups, fraternities, etc, etc. Personally, politics are more annoying to me at the moment.

I'm kinda with Mouse... I don't like seperations =/ Reminds me too much of high school XD

And at the moment, I'm more or less churning out my own sub-plot involving Arkady and Rachel, but anyone is more than welcome to jump onto that bandwagon =]
