Zodi's face turned, almost detached from the joint on her neck, stretching the skin tightly, almost to the point of ripping if it wasnt so sturdy. " To realistic? I dont know whether or not that is a complement.. or an insult? " She asked, talking like it was completely normal to have your head turned facing behind you. She nodded at his bow. " Completely understandable." She said, registering his doubt and his own way of alleviating that doubt. Her head turned back with a sick popping sound as she turned back to Carmen, but she continued to talk to Johnny."Still have doubts?"
She heard Carmen reprimanding Johnny and understood her reasoning. The reaction recieved from the statement was horribly embarrassing and Zodi did not like lack of free will, but as long as he didnt do it again, she would let it slide. She really liked Carmen. It was like Carmen was her protector.
She thought about the question, when was she manufactured. "What is the day?" She asked, as she hadnt been able to keep up with the many days and nights that passed by like a blur. She saw a calendar. " 14 years ago.. almost to the day." She said, not going into as much detail as he did. " Carmen..what do you do for a living?" She asked, growing even more curious about her savior of the day.

" My occupation?" Carmen smiled a little at the thought. Did she really have a job? Well, not exactly. She made her living performing at clubs occasionally and would help people at the Market Place now and then and get paid for a days work. She was kind of little miss odd-job. However, her main income, would probably be her singing. Yes, her singing. She would answer with that. Carmen looked up and smiled a little more noticably. " I mostly make my living by singing for Jazz or Blues clubs." Explained the woman rather simply.
" I've been doing that most of my life. Music has become my second language. I do other things, as well. But, yes...Singing is my main income I'd have to say." The woman said, her voice sounding a bit tired. She wasn't tired persay. But, she did find it a little saddening thinking back to the time when she had 'lost' her voice. Yes, a sad time for Carmen and her family. But that was in the past, and she sang as much as possible now.

"I fully realize the consequences of my actions...Carmen and...Zodi," Johnny said. "There are no more doubts, unless you have a serious medical problem and need attention immediately, and if you did, you'd have fainted by now."
"Hm," said Johnny. He did a quick search of "jazz and blues" in his database, and thousands of thousands of recordings showed up. He sampled a few, and they were ranged from lively and jumpy to slow and smooth. Sorting by age, he saw the evolution of the genre(s), from basic rag-time songs to modern Jazz. "That's very interesting," he said after about a minute. "Singing sounds like a fun profession. I cannot sing, I am only programmed to change my voice tone based on mood. I sometimes wonder what it is like."
The immature men at the other table started laughing amongst themselves. Very loudly. Johnny couldn't pick up most of what they were saying, but a man named Martin was in the center of it. Johnny was getting a little annoyed. He sent out a stream of radio waves. Martin's phone rang. He answered casually, then got a little worried, then was begging into the phone. He paused, and looked at his phone in disbelief. Then he left the store, and the other men, curious as to what was going on, followed.
"My daddy and uncle work at an electronics store," said Johnny. "They enjoy their jobs, but the customers can be quite stupid. They ask for an operating system upgrade for their computer and don't have it there."

"Oh really? Sing?" She asked in a simple tone that sounded like it had a little curiousity but was mostly monotone. She looked over at the guys who had continued to amuse themselves. "Wow.. All of those guys, and each and every one of them simple minded.. Do people that ignorant usually gather? Flocks of them seem unlikely. One would think that would just make them easier to kill." Zodi said in the same voice as when she had asked Carmen to sing. "People like that should be exterminated to leave room for intelligent people to survive. Should I kill them for the betterment of human kind in general?" She asked, loud enough for them to hear her, while starting to stand up to follow through with the statement.
Zodi turned her head at Johnny, her body halfway out of the booth. "Say that again?" She asked, completely confused by his last statement. She looked back seeing the men, who had given her an extremely weird look on the way out, were leaving. "Well.. There goes that opportunity. One moment please." Zodi sat back down and reconnected all of the emotional connections in her brain. " Yes, please, I would like to hear you sing Carmen.."

" Well, I could sing a great deal of things. I'm not exactly sure what I should sing. Let me think a moment." Carmen said thoughtfully, placing her now half-filled mug on it's matching saucer. Tapping a finger to her chin, the young woman thought very carefully about which song would be good. What song would let them see the dynamic's of her voice in a short while? The song GET HERE popped into her mind and she nodded. " Alright, let's try this." The young woman noddd and cleared her throat.
" I don't care get here, just get here if you can. There are hills and mountains between us. Always something to get over. If I had my way, truly you'd be closer. Oh, I need you closer." Her deep, sultry and soulful voice rose with grace and fell in the same manor. Her finger tapped silently on the table, keeping count. " There are hills and mountains between us, always something to get over. If I had my way, surely you'd be closer. Oh, I need you closer. You can windsurfer into my life. Take me up on a carpet ride. You can make it in a big balloon, but you better make it soon. You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an arab man. I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can." Her voice cared through the air as she closed her eyes to sing part of the song. " I don't care how you get here, just get here if you can." The final word was drawn out and slowly faded into nothingness with grace and ease.
Opening her eyes, Carmen smiled, proud of the small performance she had given the small robot and the cyborg. However, her throat felt slightly dried and caused Carmen to remain silent for a second in order to sip down some more coffee. " So, there you have it. How did you like it?" Questioned Carmen, curious to hear their response.

"One customer wanted an upgrade for their computer's operating system", Johnny repeated. Of course, the reason that Zodi was asking was probably in order to find out what he was talking about. He decided to add some more detail. "In order to do so, we need to download it off a CD and onto the computer. This certain customer did not bring his computer with him, and got angry when my uncle tried to explain it to him."
Carmen had had started to sing soon after Johnny's response. Johnny listened. He liked it, which was an odd feeling, considering he was a robot. His brain was human, but he had never really heard much singing like Carmen's before, let alone any live singing. He had compared it to another jazz song, but the song paled in comparison, taking into account Carmen's lack of instruments. Johnny tapped his digitless hands together. "That was very nice," he said in his mechanical multitone. His camera eyes moved around in their sockets, absentmindedly observing the coffee shop.
